congrats Stock!
and Maisie, you'll learn to cope :/ We started Thursday and for the most part, a lot of hw consists of reading, which is a pain, but you'll get used to it.

Ugg I have to go back to work today.... I have MOnday and Tuesday off but I have to clean my whole house and do damage control since I somehow went WAAAY overdraft on my checking account! It sucks.
But I had a dream about Will Swenson last night, so that almost makes everything better :-p
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu#2909I Enjoy Being a Girl

Maisie, you're too cute.
I need to vacuum the pool and clean the filter cartridge. So not in the mood.

Ladies, I've got something to say to y'all, and it's pretty serious. So turn off all distractions, and sit quietly at the keyboard for a minute.
I need you to bow your heads...
... and give thanks for cute boys who sell frozen yogurt on sunny days.

Aw, weez. There aren't any good frozen yogurt shops in my town.

All of the frozen yogurt salesmen who are my age in my area are manorexic gay Korean hipsters who sneer condescendingly at me over their oversized plastic-rimmed glasses when I accidentally ask for 'vanilla' frozen yogurt instead of 'plain' or mispronounce 'lychee.'
Awww, Maisiiiiie... my heart's gone all melty.

Maisie, I don't usually go all mushy because I am the all powerful and slightly intimidating lez Tofu and I've got a reputation to uphold but.....OMG how absolutely CUTE!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!
Schmerg, I had no idea Asians were so angsty especially when it comes to frozen confections. MMMMMM but I simply can't resist a good ol' fashioned androgynous Korean boy. Delish....only because he looks like a hot Korean girl but whatevs.

Schmerg, are there still a group of Asian kids that breakdance in the back lobby of the school?
No!!
They were a fixture up through my sophomore year-- they even wore masks and matching sweatshirts. But for some reason, they didn't exist last year. We do have a pretty amazing dance team, though, including these three guys who are such ridiculously great hip-hop dancers that I have never seen any professional performers who come near them. And I went to homecoming at TJ the last two years, where they have a HUGE number of brilliant Asian breakdancers who just dominate the whole dance floor...
Tofu, that boy is way more adorable than the fro-yo salesmen at IceBerry and Tyson's Corner! I'd swap for them anyday.

Posted: 8/24/09 at 10:24amI've only heard "Maybe" so far but I love it. And I heard her do "the Chain" on the last tour. Are they posted on her website? I have to check it out.

Posted: 8/24/09 at 3:06pmSchmerg, that's so funny that the breakdancing kids were there all the way til then. I mean I taught there from 1999 to 2002....so that's a LONG time for that to have continued!
#2921I Enjoy Being a Girl
Posted: 8/24/09 at 3:10pmI think it might have been a tradition-- the group had some official name, and they kept talking about how it had been around since the nineties! They were called the 'Fun Bunch,' I think?

it's not there anymore
BUT now it's a studio version of The Chain. Seriously, this cd cannot come out soon enough.. I.. want... it... now!
Hope everyone had a good day :)

Thanks for asking, Piano!
The guy that I have nothing in common with that I like(d), I finally got him. He sent me a fantastic drunk Facebook message last night about how he liked me the whole time, but was afraid to talk to me or some sh*t (apparently, we're in middle school again). Anyway, he's coming down to Cincinnati in a couple weeks to visit a friend and wants to go on a date. I think luscious was right though, because now that the chase is gone I don't really care anymore. It is a free meal, though. And he doesn't have a DUI.
