In other news, I pray that Chicago doesn't get the Olympics. The public transportation system is already overloaded. I had to let 2 trains pass me last night before I could even get onto one.

God, I hate cleaning bathrooms. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

This shouldn't upset me too much, but it kind of does just a little bit, because even though I'd never want to actually date this friend, I have liked him a lot since eighth grade. It's not like we're not friends anymore or anything-- we just talked yesterday. It may be that he's not going to the dance, because his friend just died over the weekend and he's really sad, but I have a feeling that he just found someone else willing to go with him. I'm not really sad, just a little bit.
I'm asking another friend of mine tonight... let's see if he wants to go.

Fingers crossed for the guy you're asking!

Weez, I could totally try the long-distance thing. Even male animals suck; my hamster is currently running around on my bedroom floor, taking multiple sh*ts wherever he goes. I suppose, metaphorically, that's what men do...just sh*t on everything. All the time.

schmergie, I'd take you to homecoming, but I am miles away.
And speaking of stupid guys, I was talking to the guy who got that girl pregnant and he kept saying things one should not be saying to another girl when you're in a relationship, so I told him it was disrespectful to his girlfriend and that he should stop. Of course, he flips out and says that he still loves me and how I never loved him. He's more overdramatic than me! I asked him what he would have done in my position, and he said that his feelings wouldn't change. When he finally calmed down, I started telling him about how excited I was for homecoming and he went silent, then didn't really respond. He tells me this morning "Well, just so you know, I'm jealous of your boyfriend. I think it's normal, though you'll probably find it stupid or weird. But telling you will help me."
What?! Since when was my date my "boyfriend"?
The only good thing that happened today was that a girl dropped out of the play, so along with my singing role, I get the role of Sexton! :) It feels nice to know that I'm the first person my director comes to when he needs a role covered.

There was only one boy when I was there too but it can't be the same guy because I've been gone from there for 7 years. Unless he's really dumb.
The last year I coached was the first year we made it to States. I decided it was time to quit on a high note since I knew I was moving up here anyway.

Congrats on Sexton, though! That shows the director has a real trust in you.

Well, I got me a date for homecoming! Just as friends, of course, but it's a nice way to come full-circle, because this guy has been one of my best friends since first grade, and we're kind of going along with two of our other best friends (who are going together). It's kinda a nice way to say goodbye before we all go to college and go our separate ways. ^_^

And Weez, I must say I'm slightly hurt

Well I for one am not really wanting to become a lesbian. I just am sick of my husband and think Chris Daughtry needs to leave his wife so we can hook up.

I'm glad I read the rest of the thread before opening those links. I don't think I'm going to now! But thanks for the reminder I was planning on reading a ton of Guardian articles this evening. ^_^

So... today, my chorus teacher told me that I had the highest score out of anybody in the Madrigals AND Musical Theatre auditions at the end of last year. 0_0
I never, ever would have expected that. I am so in awe of the wonderful voices in my chorus class, and I've always felt that I BARELY got into the chorus, and even then only because I like the teacher and am always nice to her, while most of the kids are really rude to her. I feel RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY!
