Up is such a cute movie. I hope you two have fun...but don't have too much "fun"
"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

Schmerg, hope you're having a good time!
Maisie, I'm sorry! But think of how excited you'll be when you finally get to talk to him. It'll be that much better.
I have become addicted to Gwyneth Paltrow's "newsletter," GOOP. It's one of the most unintentionally hilarious things I've ever read. The way she writes things...so funny.

Maisie, you could have one of those romantic classic movie scenes! Now picture this: After the grueling time of being appart, you look for him in a large crowd, him searching for you, then finally after shoving aside each passenger, your eyes meet, you sprint toward eachother, then in a moment of pure bliss, you share a passionate kiss!
...well I think it's a good idea.

I hate the fact that my laptop is dead and I have to use the computer all the way upstairs. I feel like I missed everything yesterday.
It actually turned out to be really nice so I laid out for a couple hours in the afternoon. Today on the other hand it is disgusting. I have to go get a father's day gift for my husband and then go to the gym. Then Henry has belt grading for his purple belt at 3:30. Then he's having a sleepover.
Everyone sounds like they are having exciting plans for the weekend! Hope you all have fun, and danmag isn't too hung over!

oooooooooooo.
I am hungover. And it's another grey, rainy day.
So much fun last night!! We sang and sang and drank and drank. I probably should have eaten more than 3 pieces of sushi, but c'est la vie....The Patron was delicious.
I am craving a Wendy's Baconator.....

So I just got my second semester report card. I got a D- in geometry. That means if I want to go to college, I have to retake both semesters of geometry in summer school. I'm already taking the first summer session of summer school for history, and it's too late to sign up for second session. And next summer, I'm taking english the first session. I'm going to be a junior this fall. What does that mean? I officially suck at life. My parents are going to kill me.

SAMN, I'm really sorry. Have you talked to a counselor at your high school? They should be able to work something out with you...you can't be the only student this has happened to.

I'm going to email whoever is running summer school to see if there is any possible way I can get into the second session of geometry. Then I've heard of there being an online summer school course that costs money, but I'd be willing to pay it myself. Even though it is going to positively suck, I have to get at least C's in all my classes. I mean, my summers already suck so I might as well. And summer school may not even be avaible next year due to budget cuts and money issues. Money money money.
On a more positive note, I just bought the full recording of the Chess concert on CD.

It'll work out, SAMN. Things always do. It's good that you're thinking this out, and I bet they'll compromise with you. Good luck! And enjoy your Chess CD...I'm thinking of investing in that.
One of my besties is turning 21 this Thursday and we were going to go barhopping, just the two of us (everybody else works on Friday/isn't in the area). BUT. I just got comped tickets to a bunch of events at Detroit's main summer concert venue because of some photography I did last year...and the New Kids on the Block happen to be coming on Thursday. Now, who would pass up seeing the New Kids on their birthday? Not my friend. Better yet, while she drinks to celebrate, I will be her DD. Meaning, I have to sit through the New Kids sober. Thank god for aging NKOTB groupies...I have a feeling they'll be the most entertaining part of all this.
There is an upside, however, as now I get to see my boyfriend Bret Michaels again at the Poison/Def Leppard/Cheap Trick concert for free.

UP was so cute! I did cry, though...
SAMN, it's so unfair how things that happen in high school can have such huge impact. But even if you do end up stuck with a D-, there are still colleges that will accept you. And if you go to a community college for two years, then you can transfer to a better school without them even glancing at your high school grades. It's so stupid that the summer school requires people to sign up BEFORE the second semester report cards are sent out!
I'm leaving tomorrow morning for this yucky Girls' State thing, so I probably won't be on here all week.

Ah! Schmerg! where is girls state this year? I've had friends to that! My friend did it last year actually and I believe it was at Longwood.
And yeah, SAMN, that sucks! I did math online. It wasn't that bad, I don't think.

Yeah, it is at Longwood. How did your friend like it? I'm pretty sure I'll hate it, but you never know.
