OK, I wanted to start a thread, and couldn't see a way to under the current configuration. Are we just supposed to 'give up and go home'?
Shh, that's only a month away! Woo! Hang in there girl!
Yum to Swedish Fish and chocolate covered raisins!
Q- Good point! I don't see any way to do it either!
So anyone have big plans for the weekend?
Meeting the hubby for lunch at Nectar (I think I was telling you about it before, BB. It's so good)

And it's his birthday Sunday! Sadly, he may have to work all weekend. And even sadder yet, I bought him ties for his birthday. How depressing.
No big plans. Getting a haircut which I desperately need. I'm working my way into one of those inverted bobs. I've been doing it subtlety for a while but I think I want to go more severe with it.
It's supposed to (finally) be a nice weekend, and there's a few neighborhood festivals happening, so hopefully I'll be drinking, eating, listening to music, and shopping outside all weekend.
OMG!!! I just was cleaning out my fridge and realized I ate a cheese tortilla yesterday that I made with shredded cheese that had expired May 29th!!! I THOUGHT it tasted funky!!
That is soooooo disgusting. I need to clean my fridge out on a more regular basis.
Newgirl, that sounds cute! Make sure you post pictures!
Danmag, that's disgusting LOL but at least you didn't get sick from it. And also, that restaurant has sake martinis!
Man, how quickly would those put you on your ass!
I don't know why, but Q's repeated post in every thread is making me laugh.
One of my best friends from high school is landing tonight from Cali and staying for two weeks! I'm so excited- haven't seen her in like a year!!
Have fun girls!

Hmmm...I don't think I'm up to anything super huge this weekend except for maybe working. But I am planning on doing some much deserved Vegging Out in my yoga pants on Sunday cuz it's gonna be hot as ape balls down here!!! I think a rousing Quentin Tarantino marathon is in order.
Have a great weekend girls+Piano!!!!
Woe is me, we just finished Much Ado About Nothing. Now I shall have NOTHING TO DO. Well, that's a lie, I'm seeing some plays (and a film/performance lecture/chamber opera), then I'm going to Scotland for a week, but nothing to do acting-wise! Pantomime next, I think. Am hoping I can do that and overlap it with a musical, but it really depends what all the groups in the area are up to.
I hate finishing plays. Show week is always SO GOOD, and then the COME-DOWN. D:
Five more days left of summer school! Whoo!
And then I have to figure out how the hell I'm going to make up first semester geometry and english...crap.
I saw Legally Blonde last night. Here's my thoughts:
I liked it much more than I thought I would! Becky Gulsvig was a great Elle. I didn't like her at the Tonys, but last night she did a marvelous job and was extremely reminiscent of Laura Bell. Natalie Joy Johnson was a great Paulette with a killer note at the end of Ireland, and Colleen Sexton and Rhiannon Hansen were fantastic as Serena and Margot. They had tons of energy. I was only slightly disappointed in the guys. D.B. Bonds (Emmett) and Jeff Mclean (Warner) were both fine, but lackluster. The other disappointment was the set. The opening set SUCKED and was soooo bland. Nothing AT ALL like the original sorority house. The other sets weren't nearly as bad, but things that used to be beautiful walls were now bland backdrops.
In the end, all I ever wanted Legally Blonde to be was an upbeat, fun night at the theatre. In that aspect it delivered, so I had a great time! But it certainly wasn't the Broadway production.
On a side note:
I have NEVER seen so many fancy girls at a show before. I've always viewed touring show attire as some nice, clean jeans and a very nice blouse. Which is what I wore, and what I usually see. But last night you could just tell EVERY girl wanted to be Elle Woods. Everyone was in fancy dresses and six-inch heels! What? Did I miss the memo??
Morning Ladies,
so many chores to do ++ hopefully jillian michaels before going out with Jane (Cali) friend.
You know I always that the correlation between lack of sleep and hunger was a load of crock. but I only got half as much as I normally do these days last night -- and I am craving pizza for the first time in a while. interesting.
have a good day all!
See Hells, when I was teaching and had to go back to work in August, I felt like summer was almost over at this time. But right now I'm like "there's more than a whole month left!!!"
I know Stockard! Since Labor Day is so late this year, my kids don't go back to school till September 10th!!
That IS really late! They usually start here after Labor Day, but this year they are starting the Thursday before.....I think that's the 3rd.
