Seriously, why? Why would someone do that? Thankfully the pages were almost illegible. It appeared as though someone took pictures of the book's pages and then shrunk them down. So to see them properly you would have to zoom in with an edit tool. So, yeah be careful about those spoilers.
One of my closest friends got an ARC and read it in one night a couple of weeks back. When we were watching The Order Of The Phoenix she started trying to say things like, "That's going to be important in the last book" etc. which I put a stop to immediately. She's just DYING to talk about it, but I've made it very clear that I don't want to know anything until I read the book for myself.

There are existing high-resolution photos of the last chapter - or at least they were circulating. I saved them. I'm not really a Harry Potter fan anymore, but even when I was, I read the ending of the 4th and 5th books before actually attempting to read them. It's inexplicable, but some people like being spoiled. Same goes for me and TV series.
I know what you mean. I am waiting for the actual book. I don't want my experience to be spoiled by squinting at a computer screen for hours on end. I have a friend that has already read it as well, and she did almost the same thing while watching OOTP. She kept saying "Oh wow that is so prophetic and they don't even know!"
I now work for Scholastic. They get the book on the afternoon before midnight. I am new and may not get the book earlier like everyone else. But I hope I do...
I've seen the pages (They're circulating around the HP IMDB message boards) and they're obviously fakes, unless JK changed up her writing style. They're nothing like the previous books.
How has anyone gotten a hold of the book early? As far as I know, something like 10 people in the entire world have read it yet. I haven't heard a thing about advance copies.
OMG!
I just realised that when it's 9am here in Australia, when I pick up my copy of the book, it's only 6pm in the US!
So I get to read the book before millions of others!
Hooray!
I have 73 more pages to go in the Half-Blood Prince, and then I will have finished re-reading them all (many I have read more than twice).
Anyone else plan to completely beast through the last book the day of its release?

800 pages??? One night???
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure she did.

Oh SeanMartin, I figure I'll be finished in about 8 hours...
I fly through these books!
Hey, don't underestimate fast readers. I read Stephen King's 'It' three times in two days before. (I was ill and couldn't be bothered getting out of bed to get another book.) We're talking 1,116 pages... 3,348 pages in 48 hours. I also read 'Insomnia' on a car journey to Scotland, which can't have taken more than eight hours at the most. 800 pages is EASILY do-able in one night. Especially if you don't mind not getting any sleep. Plus, y'know, 'Harry Potter' is hardly 'Lord Of The Rings', or any other hefty book that really does require a vast amount of concentration.
I'm the same way. I expect I'll have read it in 8 or 9 hours. I tend to walk around doing stuff while reading books so it's not gonna be that hard.
There are no ARCs of any Harry Potter books.
Ever.

Guys, it's pretty unlikely that it's an actual copy of the book. There is also a very realistic and well-written, full-length fan fic that is getting circulated under the guise that it is Deathly Hallows.

Sorry, but that's not reading. That's skimming. You might as well get the Reader's Digest version.
I read Half Blood Prince in a day. If he book is interesting enough, like the Harry Potter books are (except the first, for me), then I'll devour it.
She's read something and she's convinced it's real, and now she's trying to give me spoilers. I cannot verify the authenticity of it because I haven't seen it.
It's probably the "fake" that Yancy mentioned.
There are no ARCs. None. Not one. Not in the UK not here.
There's no need for them.
I hope it is fake. It would be fun to see her find that out upon reading the actual book along with everyone else.
I'm going to the midnight party, then going home and reading it non-stop. I am so, so excited for this. Especially the epilogue!
I don't think it is fake, but we'll see when the book comes out. Unless the person is very good at photoshopping, some of the pics were a person holding the book up (with face blurred out,) hands on pages, etc. I'll keep them and then actually zoom when I am done reading the book.

According to hpana.com:
"Scholastic seeks subpoena to idenitfy person who posted scans from last book."
I'd link, but the one provided is to a subscription-only LA paper.

I for sure have a date with Jim Dale all of Saturday.
I plan to read it all in one night. I am terrified that on Saturday morning some idiot media outlet will have the ending plastered as a headline. I don't want someone to ruin the ending for me. At the midnight release of the last book some smart a$$ed kid turned to the end, skimmed and screamed out "OMG, (not putting in the name in case someone out there doesn't know) died!" People were so mad.
