Yay clarinet lessons!

Huh? At least you don't need 'em!
And how do you think he got to that point, linnie?
Thanks, RG. I'm looking forward to feeling pregnant, instead of just feeling fat and like I have a long-term illness.
The hell I don't. I still take clarinet lessons!

Really? Wouldn't have thought.
Here's something I found that I thought was worth a mention;
All of my friends and colleagues still take lessons...we're only in our 20's!! We still have a lot to learn. One of my best friends who just won the asst. principal flute chair in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (a near-$100,000 a year position) STILL takes lessons twice a month with Jeffrey Khaner.
Boobs and Radi...your kids are adorable!
I was always taught that no matter how good you are, you always need to continue taking lessons and furthering your education. I guess thats why I just gave up all my hobbies, lol!
Thanks doodley-doo

Zach's the name of a supporting character in a show I'm working on right now. He's around 12, Jewish, an aspiring actor, completely over the top, forward and full of life.
?
Thanks doodle.
Right...anyone want to hear my tale of woe?
I've been in politics my entire life....
I've worked for every kind of Democrat.. and yes you carry baggage from someone as liberal as say Raul Grijalava to a blue dog like Dennis DeConcini... but, in 2006 I left the sneate campaign as an intern because I was offered a Coordinator positions on a Congressional race....at the time seemed like a smart move...and everyone was cool with in because 1/2 the Pederson staff wound up on the Coordinated campaign anyway.
This was the first time I have ever worked for a Progressive Democrat of America (PDA) candidate. The lions share of his volunteers were just Democrats working for a Democrat..but there was this (loud) and wildly left wing part of the volunteers base that was rabid in their support. They would call and harass the state Party at least once a week for not supporting him enough, now bear in mind...he had not been to so much as a Legislative District meeting before his decision to run in the most overwhelmingly Republican CD in Arizona....added to that he hired the most loathed political consulting firm in Arizona to do the campaign strategy.
At every gathering there were a handful of angry PDA'ers screaming at everyone basically..even on election night-- when it was obvious we would not even break 40% of the vote (which we definitely would have if anyone had listened too me at all..) but whatever. Even when the Party would help us out-- the candidate and his rabid followers were both spiteful and ungracious. So now my name is mud with the state party even though I did EVERYTHING in my power to keep PDA under control. I was finally getting interviews with other grassroots firms and *bam* out of left field my former candidate announces and decides to back an independent candidate, when apparently some Democratic lawyer has raised 125K in the first quarter (more than any other Dem has raised in this CD in over a decade).
I am now more entirely screwed that ever....even if I take the job off my resume ..pretty everyone that's anyone already knows I was affiliated with that whole fiasco.
<<* end rant *>>
no need to comment - just had to get it out.

Sorry Radi! I hope it'll blow over eventually. I'm sure it will.
Sorry RG..politics always give me a headache..now I have a migrane..hee hee
linnie -- long memories in politics...I'm not sure it will blow over fast enough....indeed, all the Presidential campaigns are choosing their state chairs as we speak; as we are the fourth primary state on the schedule. I just got so angry because he sent out this endorsement statewide already, without warning me ahead of time...you'd think that he would at least warn me about it privately so that I could distance myself after working 90 hour weeks for near nothing for months, but no .... schmuck.
**offer Boobs an Excedrin migraine pill** sorry about that.
Thanks RG...no worries..I know I need to learn more about politics, but for some reason, even as a child, when I tried figuring out politics I would get a headache.

I find politics deeply interesting, from a psychological point of view as well as tactics and policies. Don't know why. Possibly because we have a crap system here with no real alternative, but I said that already, didn't I?
Boobs...between you and me...it gives me a headache too most of the time. Like I said, I am just so frustrated because I have hard time with the 'establishment' because of some of my other affiliations organizations like No More Deaths aren't popular with anyone to be honest. I honestly may have to look at something totally different job wise. The Party already told me to piss off and now I have a feeling none of the campaigns will touch me.
My only real chance is if Raul Grijalva is selected as a chair, working for him has always been out of the question because his CD barely touches the far west valley in Phoenix, mostly Tucson and Yuma. He and I go back a very long way, but he is generally considered "too liberal" even by the state Party.
*sighs*
Whatever...sooner or later something will shake out.
RG...I'm sure it will all work out for the best..we have to believe that everything happens for a reason.
Wow Radi sorry to hear that. I have only worked on local political campaigns and that was enough for me. So much corruption for such a small town, I could only imagine what it was like on a larger scale.

When I was thirteen I actually got to work with a friend who was running for the greens here in local elections. She was running for the city council in West Dublin, and didn't do too badly, especially considering she got selected so late. Didn't get in, but it was a great experience, and I met the the insiders in the various parties, and a couple of major party leaders too. The greens even took my confirmation photo and stuck on a mock election poster for me. That was funny, but they really shouldn't have sent it to the party leader, which they did. I'll never forgive them.
Tink -- Oh yes...and that my friend is why I work on campaigns and not in the Congressional offices, you can still have a glimmer of hope that they will exhibit integrity-- but once you see the day-to-day operation..no chance. (trust me.)
Boobs -- yes. I am beginning to think this is a sign to move into a slightly different direction.
linnie -- I would love to take part in a parliamentary process....I've only has experience on First past the post style campaigns, obviously.. well hmm, come to think of it...state law in Arizona changed in 1989 as a reult of a third party cluste*fu#k and now requires a 50 +1 majority for state held offices.

It was great. I like our electoral system, I just don't like the people we elect.
My mom wants the laptop, I'll be back later to give my daily news bulletin.
Bye linnie *waves* catch ya later.
