I think #4 "What will Bridget Kelly say?" is the most intriguing at this point.
Politico: The 10 Unanswered Questions for Christie
Woah....this changes EVERYTHING:
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS JAN. 12, 2014, 10:39 A.M. E.S.T.
From TRENTON, N.J. — Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani says he finds it "pretty darn credible" that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie didn't know about an apparently politically motivated plan to create traffic jams near the George Washington Bridge.
Speaking on ABC's "This Week," Giuliani says candidates "miss a lot of things" in the heat of political campaigns.
Fellow Republican Christie was way ahead in his race for a second term when his deputy chief of staff gave the go-ahead for closing two lanes to the bridge, backing up traffic for hours in Fort Lee.
Democrats maintain the lane closings were political retribution against a Democratic mayor.
Christie political adviser Bill Stepien is a former Giuliani staffer. He was among four people to lose their jobs over the scandal.
So Nosferatu himself puts his two cents in. Great. Now get back in the coffin, Rudy.
lol...
Technically, I think his currency is the bani, but maybe there is some sort of travellers' currency exchange for the Undead?
In any event, I love that the best he can come up with is "pretty credible".
Right. He doesn't say he believes it himself; just that he thinks there's a good probability of other people believing it.
Maureen Dowd's take on Chistie, no surprise, is devastating.
Calling his deputy chief of staff Bridget Anne Kelly “stupid” and “deceitful,” he threw her off the bridge, without...even extending the courtesy of the old Irish wedding night admonition: “Brace your
The noose continues to tighten....
It keeps coming...
And now the Feds are investigating Christie for misuse of Sandy aide funds.
"Gov. Chris Christie, already mired in a scandal over whether his aides caused a traffic jam in Fort Lee as political retribution, is being investigated by federal officials about his use of Sandy relief money, a New Jersey congressman announced today.
U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6th Dist.) said that the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will audit New Jersey's use of $25 million of federal Sandy aid funds for a marketing campaign to promote tourism at the Jersey Shore, including a television ad that featured Christie and his family prominently during his re-election campaign."
I wonder if Bruce Springsteen does concerts from jail?

They'll investigate thoroughly and sweep it all under the rug.

Again, I'd say you are really putting the cart before the horse. Not suggesting he is either guilty or innocent. It is very possible or even more than likely he actually is guilty. But we're talking about Springsteen concerts in jail? Really? It takes a lot more to bring down a Governor who has built up a close circle of power over the last few years. We'll see if anything even comes of this new Sandy investigation. I'm skeptical of its timing.
"But we're talking about Springsteen concerts from jail"
Not seriously we're not. That was a joke.
There have been talks about a Sandy investigation for months. There's also been questions in the NJ press about who contracts were awarded too. This isn't something new.

Yeah, the question was raised a little while back that if Christie illegally and immorally attacks those who don't endorse him, how does he illegally and immorally reward those who do endorse him?
Headband--you seem not to comprehend the seriousness of this situation.
Christie got $25 million for Sandy relief.
There are still New Jersey residents who have NOT received the funds to rebuild their homes or tear down damaged structures.
If one PENNY of that $25 million ended up in the wrong place, there will be a firestorm that will make the bridge firestorm look like nothing. The investigation will follow the money.
And we're talking about New Jersey, where pennies go wrong all the time.
Plus--this investigation will take months, which means the findings will be released just as the pre-presidential campaigns of the 2016 hopefuls are supposed to be getting underway.
This is all disastrous for Chris Christie.

I comprehend very well, PJ. You just don't like that I am a bit more apprehensive about this particular situation and give all people -- including Republicans -- the benefit of the doubt, or that I wholeheartedly believe that Innocent Until Proven Guilty is a right all human beings deserve. I don't know what he has or hasn't done. I will wait until the final findings are released and I can see a clearer picture with irrefutable evidence. I'd say the same about Obama, or Clinton, or really anyone of any political affiliation for that matter.
"Innocent Until Proven Guilty"
That's fiction, at best. In this country, there is a LEGAL presumption of innocence, that's all. That LEGAL presumption does not apply beyond a courtroom.
I think it's important to remember that it's been reported that Romney didn't pick Christie as a running mate because of information they found when they vetted him.

"That's fiction, at best. In this country, there is a LEGAL presumption of innocence, that's all. That LEGAL presumption does not apply beyond a courtroom."
And there are PERSONAL choices we all make. I personally choose to live by the LEGAL presumption as I find it's all too easy to get caught up in the gossip, intrigue, conspiracies, and scandal. You're welcome to act, think, and feel however you'd like. Just as its PalJoey's choice to try and always find a reason for being at odds with me and then quipping the same old tired 'joke' about my username any time he doesn't feel like engaging any further. Because that would require you to accept the fact that other people don't see things the way you do. God forbid.
Just a little bit more about the annoying phrase 'Innocent Until Proven Guilty'. No one in this country has ever been found innocent by a jury. Folks are found not guilty. Doesn't make them innocent. There could be myriad reasons why someone is acquitted: innocence, prosecutorial incompetence, jury incompetence, legal technicalities, etc. George Zimmerman isn't innocent, OJ isn't innocent. Someone who gets away with a crime may be a lot of things, but they're not innocent. We're intelligent beings, and we should act as such. There are important constraints in our legal system, and they're there for a reason. Our minds should not be so constrained.

I don't think making a decision based on facts is "constrained." It's both logical and responsible. I could assume Christie was involved, or I could infer Christie was involved. But I could not state or prove that Christie was involved, which gives me genuine hesitation. Not every fact has been unearthed, yet. Until that happens, I reserve my judgement akin to "annoying phrase" and if, at that time, there is an inference? I am open to having to connect the dots myself.
I have no doubt he is in some way involved, but I'm personally reluctant to talk about jail time and political demise without knowing all of the facts. It's a reasonable way to objectively view the situation without letting your personal bias, whichever way you swing, become a factor. That's how I look at it. Others cannot or simply choose not to. To them I say different strokes for different folks. But I should not be raked over the coals by someone who can't accept that people view the world differently than he does.
I thought it would be pretty obvious to anyone reading that Springsteen in jail comment was a joke.
Guilty or innocent the man is in trouble. This is the first time he's received any kind of national scrutiny.
His record in NJ is actually pretty awful. But he got a pass because the media thought his personality was entertaining. It seems those days or over if he's found guilty or not.

And I would absolutely agree with you on that, Erik.
P.S. Yes, I realized it was a joke. Maybe I should have added in that qualifier. Sorry!
