Is it safe to put a fork in Chris Christie?

Posted: 1/14/14 at 11:05amI was also led to believe that the MWW contract was the least expensive of the two based on information they provided to the press. So it is very easy to see how that could have happened Liza. It was only after the release of the documents proving otherwise that I was aware of what was going on.

As someone who saw the ad in question numerous times I have to say IMO it felt like a campaign ad more than a "come to NJ - we're awesome" ad.

According to that liberal rag The Wall Street Journal, Christie has already been caught in one lie from his marathon press conference. Christie told reporters he had not been in contact with David Wildstein for a long time.
"I have had no contact with David Wildstein in a long time, a long time, well before the election,” which was held Nov. 5, Mr. Christie said last week. “You know, I could probably count on one hand the number of conversations I’ve had with David since he worked at the Port Authority. I did not interact with David.”
Turns out not to be true. They were photographed together during the time period the access lanes to the GWB were closed.

Not sure if anyone has heard Steve Kornacki's theory but it sounds just as plausible as any other theory I've heard.

Yeah, I've been following his theory since he brought it up on Saturday.
The really pathetic thing is that there are so many theories about why Christie could be a vindictive ass, and they're all perfectly plausible.

My big issue with anyone who tries to follow the money is that they probably won't find it. The "evidence" is long gone.

Exact words Greg, exact words!
Mr. Christie addressed Mr. Wildstein in a news conference last week, saying he had not encountered him “in a long time.”

Not yet. But that doesn't really surprise me.
That will change if evidence is uncovered that he direct knowledge of what was going on.

Posted: 1/14/14 at 4:43pmI'm sure that a lot will depend on what kind of deal Christie can strike with the folks who worked for him. I bet there's a lot of wheeling/dealing going on.

Posted: 1/14/14 at 4:57pmOn the news this morning - and forgive me if this has already been said, I only read back a few pages - the less expensive ad firm didn't want to put Christie or his family in the ad. He wanted to be in the ad with his family, so they went with the more expensive bid. No idea if it is true, but that's just what I saw on the news.

I thought it was interesting at the Sandy event yesterday Christie said he ran so he could serve as Governor for 8 years and that he plans to spend the "rest of his life" in NJ. That's a much different answer than he used to give.
Maybe he even knows his Presidential dreams are toast?
