It's better than last season! Christopher McDonald is the least quirky judge they've had!

My long time boyfriend used to call me SmoothLover. I adored him. He was killed in a car crash a few years back. It is a nod to him.
I love the fact that the daughter has become the personal assistant.

Since this is the last season, I imagine we'll start seeing the storyline shaping up very soon for what will turn out to be the outcome of all these characters.

Is it officially the last season? Last I heard it was rumored, but that it wasn't for sure.

Mary Beth Peil told me it was the last season of the show, so I take that as being official.

I can have compassion and still think it's weird.

It's time. I've enjoyed the show, but goodness they're out of ideas. How many more times are they going to use the "David Lee hears only a snippet of a phone call and everyone, especially Diane, goes ape****" case of mistaken identity.
Plus, the show really has absolutely nothing for Diane and Carey to do anymore.

I'm watching to see it through, but Jeez, this show has been out of ideas for quite some time now. It just keeps recycling the same conflicts. At least Josh Charles got out before it got worse, even if it was in the most melodramatic cliched way possible. That's when I knew the show would never get better again.

It really is just a live-action cartoon at this point.

Even at it's worst, it's better than anything else on TV.

This about sums it up.
Remember when this was the best drama on network television?

Eh. I mean, it's well-acted and it looks nice, but storywise, not so much.

Even fake doppelganger Colin Sweeney?

Honestly, I have more fun watching Madam Secretary and How to Get Away With Murder. At least the direction, writing and performances manage to be more entertaining. The only thing I find entertaining about The Good Wife these days is the quasi-classical music they use to beef up the atmosphere.
I'm really just waiting for the next season of Sense8.

Tonight's episode was off the wall hysterical. It seems like the writers are up for anything during this final season.

With all the excitement of Grease and bloody bloody Downton Abbey last night, The Good Wife snuck in and delivered a powerful episode that is spectacular. I was up until 3am watching.
The scenes between Alicia and Eli (Alan Cumming) regarding the secret are Emmy winning; as are the scenes between Alicia and Lucca (Cush Jumbo). Jeffrey Dean Morgan is solidly back as the investigator.
Even if this is the final year for Good Wife it is still head and shoulders above almost every other drama. Definitely in the Top 3!!

I can get why she wouldn't like Grace, but what did Zach ever do to her? It was so weird when she said she wasn't sure if she liked her kids.

Zach said he was going to look at colleges when he was going with this girlfriend to get an abortion. He lied to her about that as well as his smoking pot.
