I swear Bill Condon must have given her line readings for every line in Dreamgirls, because that's the only thing she's ever done where she didn't sound completely stiff and stilted. Those commercials are painful because she can't even seem to play herself (and don't even get me started on the ones where fat Jen sings with skinny Jen).

I think her "Oscar Winning Actress" intro needs an asterisk.

"Oscar Winning Actress*"

*this win was a one time fluke and should not be used to used to imply that she should ever be cast in a speaking role ever again.

She ruined the SATC Movie for me. You have her work with 4 of the most naturalistic actresses in the business and she stood out like a sore thumb. Horrendous amounts of either overacting or underacting. Wretched. Watch the scene where Carrie gives her the designer purse for Christmas-you will cringe and be so embarrassed for her. She has no idea how to act.

I am also convinced, especially after watching the DVD extras, that her hand was held during the entire Dreamgirls shoot.

The fact that an Oscar winning actress is now doing WW spots, speaks volumes. She must not be getting cast in anything.

Also, when she is heavy again 5 years she'll be on the cover of PEOPLE talking about how depressed, etc she was at the time or how a manager forced her into it.

How I hate celebrity.

I have to say I think WW ads are better than Cher's post-Oscar shampoo informercials. Jennifer lost weight. Cher wears wigs.

The four leads in SATC are very natural, at least in those roles. They simulate friendship well, women who have a history. They have easy conversation and chemistry. Even Cattrall, whose voice is affected at times, fits with the other women.

J-Hud was like a lummox in an acting class or a high school play. Very self conscious and did not fit at all.

Kim is a very vulnerable and natural actress when she isn't vamping. Samantha doesn't always vamp-actually thats a smaller portion of the character than most think.

I can only take Kim Catrall in very small doses. The woman can't act. Two hours made her shoot right past my limit. Like a moron, I went on to watch the second movie which was torture.

Mannequin was one of my FAVORITE movies when I was a kid. I saw about 10 minutes of it the other day. It just doesn't hold up.

And yes, J-Hud ruined the movie for me. Gabrielle Union would have been a much better choice if they wanted a woman of color for the part of Louise.

The SATC 2 movie sucked because of the awful writing. The actresses did the best they could.

None of those girls on SATC could really act but I don't think it mattered on that show. The only one who was at all funny was Kim.

side comment-SJP was (and is) considered the "model", the one who is the fashion icon and is always dressed up. Well, I don't think she wears clothes well. Just the opposite.

I paid more attention to J Hud's commercial and laughed!
