You can listen and choose her 2nd single. She sings a remake of "You Spin Me Round" and the CD sounds very 1980's and very Madonna-ish, I'd say, I couldn't help but thinking about old Whitney Houston's and Paula Abdul's or Janet's melodies.

I just bought it!!! This CD is amazing, it is discounted at Target just for today. Go get a copy! Truly great. She worked with some good producers, such as Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who also worked with Janet Jackson and many others, plus she got together with Cory Rooney again.

Too bad Jessie annoys the hell out of me and has done for over a year now.
I used to really like her, too.

I don't understand why she decided to remake so many artists' songs. One, maybe. But not as many as she did.
And isn't Madonna suing her for sampling the song "Holiday" without her permission?

One of my favorite things about Ms. Britney Jean Spears Federline is the awful covers that she feels the need to include on most of her albums.
"And the Beat Goes On," "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "I Love Rock and Roll," "My Perogative"...
God, I love that woman.
Sorry Jess--"Take My Breath Away" pretty well sucked.

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:13pmShe wrote 9 out of the 13 songs in the record, only one remake, as far as i know. Which is "You spin me round", she did a remake of "Angels" and "Take my breath away", that's it. Britney Spears for example, did a remake of "My Prerogative", "The Beat goes on", "I love rock n roll" and so did many other pop stars, why are you aiming Jessica?

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:28pmI like the CD. I haven't had time to really get into it. However, I love Jess's voice. I just need to give it a little more time to find out which songs I gravitate towards. I really loved "In This Skin" alot, so it will be hard for her to top that with me. But I am open to be impressed.

Yeah I'm tired of hearing her remake all these songs. It's like she has to make up for the space left over from the few songs she does write.
Her new song is ok. I like it alright, but I hope to God Madonna sues her b/c Jessica totally ripped Holiday off. And she tried to make it seem like it was ok to do that b/c "People want to hear that kind of music again." Jessica that means you get permission first and then if allowed, work with the actual artist you are stealing the tunes from.

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:45pmJessica along others wrote that song and I don't think it's a copy of any other song.

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:47pmUmmm...how many people has Madonna ripped off??? The only difference is Madonna leaches on indie and underground bands with fresh sounds and them presents them as her own before the public is aware of them. She totally stole from Goldfrapp, even stealing the lead singer's trademark red hair. Madonna should keep her mouth shut unless she wants karma to bite her plagarizing tushy.

When the hook of the song starts, you can totally tell it sounds exactly like Holiday just with other words. Then it eventually starts to sound like a different song. But the chorus is definitely Madonna's sound.
If it didn't, no one would even bring up the mention of Madonna's Holiday when she first released the song. She obviously did something.
I'm not trying to intentionally badmouth Jessica. I used to like her and met her before she was even famous. I can just tell how she's changed over the years. Her voice has gotten more breathy, which sounds horrible compared to the strength it had when she first started out. She just seems to much into fame now and that's annoying. Plus her dad just gives everyone the creeps!

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:49pmI highly doubt at that point in her career Madonna wrote any part of that hook in Holiday. I am sure it was Jellybean Benitez or some other writer/producer she was sucking the blood from. If someone should be suing, it shouldn't be Madge.

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:50pmIt has a little resemblense, but Madonna's "Hung Up" is basically an Abba song. What the hell are you talking about? Right, Madonna doesn't get attacked, the same about Christina Aguilera or Britney or even Ashlee seems to be more respected, but when it comes to Jessica, everyone attacks her(not like Jess or Madonna or any of those will ever read these boards)

Poor Jessica, she is on TRL and she showed up but she had to cancell her live performance, since she has no voice. Get better Jessica! Jessica co-wrote the song, I doubt she wrote the music though.

I listened to her album at Wal-Mart.
Not bad. I liked Spin Around. I'll probably buy it later.
But I decided to buy "Making It on Broadway" instead.

Jessica is not expected to sell a lot AT ALL. She's only expected to sell around 85/90,000 for her first week.
Bob Dylan and Danity Kane will most likely be fighting it out for the top spot next week. Danity Kane currently has the number 1 album. They sold over 215,000 in their first week, and they are brand new artist. Jessica isn't even predicted to come close to that.
