I'm sorry, but there are some people who you wish would swear MORE.
Mustachioed film critic Joel Siegel, storming out of a preview of Kevin Smith's "Clerks II": "Time to go! ... This is the first movie I've walked out of in 30 f**king years!"
and kevin responds on myspace
with more f-bombs
You just gotta step back and admire a man who calls a donkey show a particular brand of whimsy.
i just wonder if this is going to end up with a strung out mewes hanging upside down and banging on siegal's bedroom window wearing nothing but a hockey mask?

I'm just sad Roger Ebert wasn't at the screening-- When the donkey made it's appearance I'd expect him to blurt out "Finally a film that reflects MY lifestyle!"
I loved the reference to Fozzy Bear.

Mewes is over all the drugs according to last week's article in "Entertainment Weekly".
know any addicts, jimny? an addict is an addict. you don't get over it. you learn how to live with it, or die with it.
$100.00 says siegel was drunk
I was coming on to post Kevin's blog. lol I liked the movie. C'mon, it's Kevin Smith. You don't go in expecting Oscar worthy content. Gene Shalit just needs to wait to see (whispering) "Lady in the Water."
Mewes has looked great when I have seen him. He looked much healthier in person than he had looked onscreen. Maybe he will stay clean this time. Some do.
JOEL SIEGEL!
That blog was hysterically well-written. Snaps for Kevin Smith.
I've always thought Joel Siegel was kind of a joke.
both joel and kevin have potty mouths.

I saw a great interview with Kevin Smith who said that he told Jason that if he'd go to Rehab, Kevin would lose 60 pounds. And Kevin freely admitted "Jason kicked it. I didn't. I lost like 5 pounds then bounced back."
As Kevin pointted out, you can't get off food completely. "Jason could give up drugs but I still have to eat!"
i read that kevin told jason that if he quit drugs, he'd make clerks II but not before.
oh, and you know who paid the bulk of jason's rehab, right? one mr. ben affleck.

Eek! Kevin uses a reallllly skeevy term for Joel's pornstache.
Fun Valley of the Dolls reference:
"Sh*t, Joel, I know you like being on camera and all, but was it so difficult to not be the center of attention for 40 minutes that you just had to sparkle, Neely, sparkle-it up for your peers instead of showing them a little goddamn courtesy by leaving the theater the way most people do, either during or after the picture: quietly?"
Kevin writes blogs most days and they are all great.
And he did lose the weight. He has lost 65 pounds. He was in a movie that was supposed to be out this summer called Catch & Release. It got pushed to January and while cute, it could use some reshoots. They can't because Kevin was at his heaviest while filming. Now he looks very different.
^ i think that quote above also shows just how out of touch kevin is with today's moviegoing audience. since when do people not talk in theatres? since when do they arrive quietly? since when do they leave quietly?
i'd love to go to kevin's theater because mine has talkers all up in my grill.
"up in my grill?"
the smurfs have a movie theater ?
I think maybe he was referring to people in a screening audience. I wouldn't say he is out of touch with moviegoing audiences. I am a bit of a fan, though. Not sure if anyone noticed.
i think chasingamy2, dogma2, and mallrats2 might have noticed....
roflol
Darn you, RobbO, I made this handle the week I decided I was moving to Jersey. It had nothing to do with that movie! I would have picked a better one, trust me.
I want to molest my avatar.
