Luscious I live in Forest Hills too! My district-table was empty so I got in and out in five minutes, but the table next to mine was about 20 deep around 7:45am.
Most people I know are saying 15-20 minutes, but some are saying 45 minutes.

Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin says the process for emailed and faxed ballot applications is swamping his office and creating a processing crisis in the middle of a presidential election.
Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno on Saturday issued a directive to county clerks that they must process voting applications for residents displaced by Hurricane Sandy.
That led to today’s bombardment.
“Here’s the problem with emails and faxes,” said Durkin. “This is not for people sitting in their homes, but people are acting like this is a voting option for them. The problem is the people truly displaced are being harmed. The email option is only for people who are truly displaced. This directive works on the honors system; it doesn’t apply to people who can’t make it to the polls.”
Durkin said his office is receiving thousands of emails and faxes. Each takes 15 minutes to process, including signature verification, bogging down his staff in an unmanageable situation.
There is also confusion around provisional ballots.
People whose usual polling places have moved are in some cases heading into local stations and filling out provisional ballots, which technically, again, are available for hurricane-displaced voters not simply voters looking for the polling locations and settling for those most convenient.
Durkin's worries he could run out of provisional ballots at some polling places and those truly in need because of strom displacement won't be able to vote.
A Bergen source said a polling location in his county has already run out of provisional ballots.

Voting completed in less than an hour, even though we have a long ballot this year. Ballot #223 at about 9:15 this morning.

There was only one person ahead of me at about 7:40 this morning. I was the 32 person to vote at my polling place in Lancaster County, PA.
There were signs for the various candidates from both parties lining the sidewalk up to the door and two people handing out Romney fliers.

My mother in Pinellas County, Florida reported no lines when she voted this morning. But, to be fair, that's probably because a robocall went out from the Pinellas Supervisor of Elections' office saying the election was tomorrow by mistake.

90 minutes. People complaining the whole time about the lines. The people working the polling place were patient as saints. Now I'm going to watch 'Love, Actually' on yt, which someone uploaded in its entirety.

Absentee ballot for me, which is unfortunate because I really wanted to vote the regular way it being my first Presidential election - I just hope it arrived before 5pm today. I have no reason to believe it didn't but if my little state's crucial 4 electoral votes go the wrong way, I will always wonder.

Voted at 4:30. Was the 400th person at my district's polling place and there has been a lot of traffic and a lot of people in line as me and my mother left. It took us just a few minutes to get in and out but the wait behind us looked longer. Granted, I've usually voted early since 2008 but this turnout was surprising. I'm in one of the bluer parts of Upstate NY, near the capital which means a lot of gov't employees.
Now I'm getting nostalgic of the lever pull machines where I cast my vote in 2008. Not that the written and scan ballots are bad, but I was around the pull levers my whole life because my dad has been in local politics up here since the late 70s.

Like Strummer, I miss the old lever pull booth with the curtain. Kinda made me feel I was in Vegas with a slot.
These paper ballots with the ultra tiny fonts and the no privacy cheesy fold up "podiums" were awful. I don't trust the accuracy of those scanners either. Just sayin.... only waited on line 20 minutes. My bldg. in midtown Manhattan was a polling place...so convenient.

I voted yesterday at San Francisco's City Hall. Line was almost out the building. I was in line for an hour, but I had to re-register, as I've moved since voting last.
All in all, a good experience.
