I just got 6th row seats to see her in Seattle! Who else is a big Kathy fan! Anyone seen her live before? Does she switch up her act for each city?
She's playing here May 12th! It'll be my first time seeing her live, so I don't know anything about her current act, but I'm certainly looking forward to it!
Her new Bravo special "Strong Black Woman" is coming up in a few weeks. Can't wait for that either.
Report back about her May 12th performance. I'd love to know who she's going off on now!
I certainly will! She's playing on the mainstage at the RiverCenter, which is, like, a 2000 seat theater, and we maybe have a couple hundred gay men in this town, so I'm pretty sure I'll get a good seat.
What's up with her press photo? She's looking awfully glam these days....

I saw her a couple years ago do a two hour showcase at the comedy festival in Montreal. I brought my friend who doesn't care a whit about pop culture and who probably vaguely recognized about a third of the people she dished. He laughed uproariously from beginning to end, and that was the one show I worried he wouldn't "get" when I bought festival tickets.
We saw her again a couple of months ago, and I was worried during her red carpet hosting era she was drifting dangerously close to Joan Rivers-ville. I abhor Joan Rivers.
Well, we laughed our asses off again, this time for about an hour and 20 minutes. I realized she IS something like Joan Rivers, but with a heart and a soul.
Namo- Do you know if she comes out after or does a pre meet and greet?

Don't know about that, sorry. With luck she'll tell the great story of one of her own meets and greets with a celeb she had dished.

Kathy Griffin never fails to make me laugh my ass off. Her HBO special Hot Cup of Talk (circa 1998, I think) is still one of the funniest comedy specials I've ever seen.

Do you guys remember her TV show on MTV back in like...2000? Kathy Griffin's So-Called Reality TV Show, I think it was called?
It was hillarious--but nobody liked it...so of course it went off after 1 season, but I watched every episode.
I love her! I've never actually seen her live, but I've seen her on TV a lot and she's hysterical.

She did Celebrity Mole, didn't she? Loved that show.
Here's some info on her new Tv Special, which debuts May 9th.

I remember her from back in her Groundlings days... so funny!
I just saw Kathy in concert this past January and she was hillarious. Her material was very current as to what was going on at the time. Even though I have only seen her live once, I imagine no two Kathy shows are the same. Have a great time!
The show is tonight, but it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it. My boss seems to have no recollection of telling me I could have the night off.
(He drinks.)
(More than I do.)
Oh WW...I am so disappointed for you!
I finally watched Strong Black Woman last night and the Celine stuff was hilarious.
After that I put on Oxygen - they used to air Ellen but have replaced it with Tyra at 11pm...very disappointing!
Tyra was interviewing Celine in LV...I thought she was going to bark!
Sorry, ya have to see Kathy's special...but the answer is Celine.

I loved her bit about attending the Clay Aiken concert.

I LOVE HER!
"Like I've said, I've seen the Celine show several times, so she'll be singing Titanic and all the sudden a strofoam piano will swing over her head with a French Candian clown playing it and she doesnt look up and he doesnt look down."
