"President Bush has nicknamed Nelson "The Benator." Originally, Bush nicknamed him "Nellie," but Nelson jokingly complained that he would prefer a "tougher" nickname.".
LOL! I'll refer to him as "Nellie" now that I know that.
Thanks for posting and let us know about these important issues PalJoey. It is a shame.
Let's get out our aggression and bash them all. I'll start.
Kay Bailey Hutchison is a vile, despicable hag whose head is shoved so far up George Bush's ass that she's developed diabetes from sucking on his pancreas. May she wake up tomorrow with a terrible case of rosacea and thinning hair.
Tom Coburn has come out in support of the death penalty for abortion doctors -- largely because he realizes that his mother's and the rest of the country's biggest regret is that she didn't abort him.
John Cornyn's first thought when it came to gay marriage was someone marrying a box turtle. The reason? Just that morning, his wife had remarked on the similarities between the creature's skin and the texture of his penis.

What amazes me is that with the problems facing the country right now (Such as, oh, lemme name just the first that come to mind: MASSIVE DEBT, OUT OF CONTROL ENERGY PRICES, NUCLEAR PROLIFERATION....) the Republican party actually thinks that the issue that needs to be addressed right now is GAY MARRIAGE? How can even the most ignorant right-winger actaully think that? Is this really an issue? Is Gay marriage causing gas prices to soar? Is Gay Marriage killing Thousands of people a year? Is Gay Mariage driving us to the brink of insolvency?
Oh, man, this just makes me sick!

its long past time to out Miss Lindsay Graham.
Joe--you'll love this one-liner from Newsweek;s Conventional Wisdom column tomorrow:
Iraq's a bigger mess than ever, Iran's digging in its heals on nukes. What's "the decider" focusing on? The same-sex marriage issue.
Oh--and n69--did you know that Lindsay Graham was a CONFIRMED BACHELOR?
And that is a list of bigots who will continue to be recorded on the wrong side of history.
And, I say bravo to their being outted for all the things they have done to dishonor marriage.

Ben Nelson is a bushie and his counter part, Chuck Hagel is willing to stand up to the Administration. That is typical Nebraska politics.
James Inhofe called global warming a hoax, but he's from Oklahoma, where they say the same thing about dental hygiene and running water.

Nice to see that Henry Hyde is such a staunch defender of marriage. His was obviously so sacred.
eta: In the comments on the blog, someone mentioned that bitchy Elisabeth on The View just went off on an anti-gay rant. Anyone hear it?

These people are all wasting our time and tax dollars on this non-issue while they do nothing about the real issues. They are all scum. The house Democrats listed should especially be ashamed of themselves but I'm not shocked since they come from backward thinking states. Anything to keep their jobs.
Henry Hyde! LOL! What a defender of marriage that pig is.
surprise surprise that my states representatives are in favor of this *rolls eyes* I really hate my states politics sometimes...being a liberal in a largely red state sucks.

Please excuse my threadjack, but I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that the government thinks they have a say on who anyone chooses to love/marry/have a family/or spend thier life with. How can they justify this? Why is gay marriage wrong?
You know there is a war going on? you wouldnt know if you turned on the news.
Gay marriage and Mexicans crossing the border NOT the War and Katrina aftermath.
HE really is doing a good job of diverting attention.
It reminds me of that SNL tv funhouse cartoon "Divertor", the Republican superhero who diverts attention from GOP screw-ups by causing Hollywood Drama.
Patrick Leahy is a badass--he is reading them to filth, saying everything we are all thinking.
Jefferson, William L. (D-2-LA)
Shocker. Here's hoping they found an underaged illegal immigrant being forced to clean his office when the FBI raided it.
In the White House's Orwellian doublespeak, they're calling it "civil rights legislation."
Let's call it what it is: THE HATE AMENDMENT
