Also...all of the news about falling ratings is freaking me out. You don't think that ABC would pull the 6th season?
At least Sci-Fi is showing re-runs now, so if that does happen I bet the last season would end up there.

ABC will NEVER pull out of the sixth season! LOST is still one of their top shows... and if they did pull it off the air... there would be hell!
and let's not forget that Daniel Dae Kim was also arrested for DUI... and he wasn't killed off!
Exactly east. The same thing goes with American Idol, it will run forever because even though the ratings have tanked recently its still one of the highest rated shows each week.
I think they know that there are so many people who watch on DVR and on itunes etc. There's no way they'd pull the show before it ends.
From EW: Fox went with two hours of ratings-winner American Idol last night, and the 9 p.m. hour's scripted shows took the hit. NBC's Life lost 30 percent of last week's audience, while the viewership for ABC's Lost dipped 10 percent. But it's not like the time-travel drama's all washed up ashore like waterloggy Jin. Lost did post its fourth week in a row as Wednesday night's top-scripted program among Adults 18-49.
Is Rebbeca Mader (Charlotte) considered a Regular or a recurring? because she's listed on IMDB as being in all the upcoming episodes they currently have listed. I hope she's not dead. I really wanted to know more about Charlotte, i liked the character.
Rebeca Madder is off the show for now with a possibility of returning (like all the other dead characters).
I think it's pretty fascinating that Daniel seems to be such a pivotal part of the LOST mythology, almost one of the most important parts of it, especially given his connection to Eloise.
The last episode was insane in terms of the things revealed. Pretty neat though I was hoping for them to do more with the Sun/Kate/Ben storyline.

nexttoelectric, Rebbeca Mader confirmed this week that Charlotte is dead. She knew at the end of last season that she was going to be killed. The writer's strike prevented a Charlotte flashback episode last season and the shortened season/new format of the show this year doesn't allow her to have one either. Many people also think that her landing a seemingly large role in http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1234548/ would have led to her leaving the show anyway.
bumping for tonight...woohoo
I'm hoping to get out of rehearsal early tonight so that I can watch it at 9.
Okay, so I'm guessing...when Locke turned the wheel to keep the island from jumping around in time, it stopped at whatever time it was it, which was apparently the prime years of the Dharma Initiative. The Losties left on the island then somehow got in with Dharma and have been working there ever since.
Is Rebbeca Mader (Charlotte) considered a Regular or a recurring?
Rebecca Mader has been listed as recurring for a while. The news came out a couple months ago I think. It had a bit of talk about it just because she was recurring and Daniel and Miles aren't. Now we know why.
That's exactly what I thiknk, Taryn. That's why we saw Daniel at the beginning of the season when they were building the Orchid.
Great episode, a LOT of unanswered questions, but I am so happy to finally see what Dharma was all about!

But if the Losties are in with Dharma, doesn't that mean they will be killed off by Ben?
They definitely answered a lot of questions though, like why no one can find the island.
But if the Losties are in with Dharma, doesn't that mean they will be killed off by Ben?
Let's keep in mind that Dharma was around for a good chunk of time, long enough to Ben to grow from a child to an adult AT LEAST. If they're there for the taping of Orientation videos, I'm inclined to think they're in the early days of the Initiative. But we also know that Daniel will be warning a young Charlotte, who (according to Ben) was born in 1979. How old do we think Ben was supposed to be when the purge happened? 20s? 30s? I'm going to guess anywhere from the 80s to the 90s. It's a big window of time. Dharma has existed from at least the 70s, which is when Ben and his father got to the Island.

Tonight's episode was awful! OK, Jack, Kate, etc were on a plane and then it crashes? Deja Vu!!!!
Do you remember Alias? This will be Lost by the end of the season - no one cares about the characters! Dharma Sharma! This show was first and foremost about relationships not about science.

go back to my earlier post in this thread... this series has always been about science fiction... it was always in the background and the creators have mentioned it before.... and now that they series is finally progressing and about to end they finally have come out and flat out are a sci-fi show.... we the audience have already spent three years watching these people and have created strong backgrounds on them and care for them... we don't need that anymore... otherwise this show would be nothing but those filler episodes that people complained about over and over... the show is now moving full forward with the mythologies and the mysteries and the episodes are proving this... we don't need anymore episodes about everyone before the crash.. we know all we need to know and now they are at a point where we can just watch them all do their thing... this is why i feel the writing has been so brilliant for this show...
and tonight's episode was just trippy... i loved it and i need to watch it again... loved the end scene... makes me excited more for a jin and sun reunion!!!
I enjoyed tonights episode. There were several really great bits. I LOVED Lupidas' line "Wait a second. We're not going to Guam are we?"
Ben having been beat up makes me nervous. He clearly went to go kill Penny and fought with Desmond but, did he succeed? Also, what was the point of having desmond go talk to Faraday's mother if she was already helping him? It seemed like nothing more than a plot device to get Penny and Ben in the same city, which I don't love.
The Kate/Jack sexy-times was tres awkward. I had to turn away. And what did she do with Aaron? Did she just drop him off with Claire's mother? There's clearly some sort of consequence cause Faraday's smother (i can't remember her name) said, when asked what would happen if they couldnt get everybody, she said "the results would be unpredictable"
And with all this time travel, would it KILL THEM to give us a little Mr. Friendly?
oh and WHERE THE **** are the rest of the losties? Donde estas Rose and Bernard.
ETA, the two other people from first class (the agent with Sayid and the guy that spoke to Jack after he checked in) are appearing in the next episode.
Also, who wants to take bets that Libby told Hurley to get on the plane?

Another great episode.
"oh and WHERE THE **** are the rest of the losties? Donde estas Rose and Bernard."
Not only them, but what happened to the rest of the people on the plane? I get that the two who were in the front of the plane with Ben and the Oceanic 5 land on the island, but did Lapidus's plane crash after the front section of passengers just disappeared? Did the flight ever really happen? I hate that they're making all these recurring characters disappear and not giving us answers. Especially since they're three of my favorites!
Also, just glancing back at old episodes.
WHAT THE HELL EVER HAPPENED TO THE CINDY AND THE KIDS FROM THE TAIL?
What a GREAT episode! It gave us a couple answers...and a few more questions. My favorite part was when the pilot came over the loudspeaker. I yelled out "WHAT??!!!" And his line was great.
So was the quote about Ben "Is he lying? Probably"
SO now we want to know What happened with Ben? What happened with Aaron? How the heck did Sayid get there? How did Hurley know?
Next week looks awesome!
I'm not so sure that Ben was trying to kill Penny. It's possible, but what if he was somehow involved with getting Sayid on the plane? That would just as easily explain the bloody face...
Unless it was a weird dream (like Charlie appearing) Libby couldn't have been the one to tell Hurley to get on the plane...
I want to know how the people on the plane GOT on the island this time - they were hit with the time jump white light there -- so OK, they jumped back in time (when Jin is with Dharma apparently!) but how did they GET on the island???
They went through a window, like Eloise told them they would.
Also, after seeing Desmond, Ben would have realized Penny was Near by, and Ben disappeared shortly after desmond left. It's pretty clear why he was leaving. “Oh, I made a promise to an old friend of mine--just a loose end that needs tying up." Clearly a reference to when he told Widmore he was going to kill Penny to take revenge for Keamy killing Alex.
And that's exactly what I'm talking about when i said Libby telling him. Like Ana Lucia helped him out during the premiere. "Libby says hi" I bet that's not all Libby says.
nexttoelectric -- you're probably right about Ben going after Penny - but based on his reaction on the phone, I have to believe he failed somehow.
I don't think you got my question about how they got to the island. I understand they went through the window, and that they then time jumped, but how did they get from the air to the ground, and where is everyone else? Remember, Jack said "Did you see the plane?" So what HAPPENED? Did the plane they were on crash without them in it?
Someone at work suggested that Hurley and Sayid knew to get on the plane because they've been flipped and are working for Widmore...interesting...
