BUT ... wasn't anyone listening when i said i wasn't worthy of this honor because i'd hate to have to answer all these questions?!

BUT ... the tiara is SO LOVELY i simply can't resist, especially after BB worked so hard making it sparkle again.

it's amazing i even SAW this thread today. i RARELY have time to check the boards while at work. and tonite i've got a date with MAUREEN MCGOVERN. but i'll TRY my best to respond to all these lovely posts before someone else snatched the crown away ...

i just want to tell you all how happy i am to be back in the studio making a picture again! you don't know how much i've missed all of you! and i promise i'll never desert you again ...

FAVORITE JEANS: CKs from sam's club

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: the cheesecake factory here in atlanta, where my man and i had our first date on 26 dec 97 ... i like the pasta dishes and ALL the cheesecake varieties!

FAVORITE COOKIE: all of 'em! ... but hard to beat vanilla wafers with peanut butter

HERO AS A CHILD: my aunt, who was a school librarian and the smartest person i knew ... for birthday and christmas she always gave me books signed by the authors

FAVORITE BOOK AS A CHILD: 365 Bedtime Stories

RAINY DAY ACTIVITY: snuggle with my man and watch MAURICE or BIG EDEN on dvd

WHAT INSPIRES ME: people who are truly joyful and love unconditionally

IF I COULD INTERVIEW ONE PERSON LIVING OR DEAD: definitely GARBO! and i'd ask her what she was REALLY thinking about when she posed for the final shot in QUEEN CHRISTINA

THREE THINGS I MOST WANT TO DO/SEE:
1) write a book that at least a few people will love
2) make a film that moves at least a few people
3) go to egypt and see the pyramids and tut's tomb

THREE THINGS I'M PROUD OF:
1) my relationship with my man ... 8 years and counting on into forever
2) the job i do at work
3) performing the role of CHARLIE BAKER in THE FOREIGNER

FAVORITE ART: all the impressionists, especially monet

FAVORITE LADY SKATER: janet lynn
FAVORITE MAN SKATER: john curry (may god rest his soul)
FAVORITE PAIR SKATERS: gordeeva & grinkov (may god rest sergei's soul)
FAVORITE ICE DANCERS: torvill & dean

HOW I GOT HOOKED ON FIGURE SKATING: my parents took me to see ICE CAPADES when i was in the 10th grade ... jo jo starbuck and ken shelley skated to WEST SIDE STORY ... i've been hooked ever since! (it's better than pot ... it's better than booze ...)

IDEAL MEAL: battered fried shrimp, battered onion rings, garlic potatoes, country-style hush puppies, key lime pie

BEST COMFORT FOOD: creme broulee at a paris restaurant (now THAT's comfort)

STARBUCKS ORDER: bagel and juice (coffee ... bleh ...)

IF I COULD BE A TREE: one of those 200+ year old live oaks on st simons island overlooking the frederica river

Good choices! Gordeeva and Grinkov and Torvill and Dean are my favorites too. I cried so much when Grinkov died--I cut out everything in newspapers and magazines I could find that talked about it. A memorial pastel that I drew promptly went up on my bulletin board.

And Torvill and Dean...just wow! My parents had taped a Great Performances special on PBS about them. I wish I still had that tape; it was just increadible!
