I'm so sorry! I didn't even seen them! Here we go!
What brought you to BWW?
I was looking for good Broadway sites that would tell me if Alan Cumming was going to come back for the final performances of Cabaret, since I was going to go see it. This was it. I fell away from it for a year or so, but then re-registered when I first moved to Chicago to keep me entertained at an eneventful temping job. Now, I'm just completely addicted.
And... are you seriously looking into working/teaching abroad? If so, where?
If I were going to teach, and it looks like they may be the best/easiest way to get abroad, I would love to teach in Taiwan or Japan. I love Japanese culture and I met a lot of great Taiwanese people in college, as we had a high international student population. I hope to do it!
I hope you get to do it! Sounds wonderful.

I hope so, too. I asked my mom what she would do if I moved overseas and she started to cry. So, while my mom's crying is a deterrent, I'm usually a fairly determined person.

Thanks, brdlwyr and em! You're both precious.
What are some of your favorite productions that you have seen in Chicago? Favorite loop theatre???
My favorite theatre here in Chicago is definitely Steppenwolf. I'm a total addict and they have a lot of my money.
The best two things I've seen since I've moved here were both in Steppenwolf's Garage Theatre: Red Light Winter and The Hypocrites' production of 4.48 Psychosis. I saw RLW twice and 4.48 thrice. (Every time I say thrice I think of that one Golden Girls episode where Rose and Dorothy are writing a song together.)
congrats, sg.
say you wake up stark naked at starbucks with no recollection of how you got there but enough money in your hand for breakfast, what kind of drink do you order and do you go with a pastry and if so what kind?
SG, you're cuter than an intrauterine!

Yay, somebody else knows what I'm talking about! Another reason to want to marry you, Kitz.
papa- Well, first I'd call you since I'd be naked and I can't be naked without your being around staring at my chest. Then, I'd order some sort of decaf green tea because who wants to be hyper AND naked at Starbucks? I'd probably order a large pastry, like a cruller, so that I could cover up my whatnot because I doubt my fellow morning commuters would want that all up in their coffee.
That's only my favorite line from one of my favorite tv shows! Of course I got it!

Seems I'm late again for the crowning...sorry, Sorry...Yoda put up a fight to give me back the tiara for you to wear today. I shined it up and got rid of all the hair that was stuck to it too.
Forgot to post my usual question....If you could interview one person (dead or alive)..who would it be and what would you ask?
Oh my goodness golly gracious!!! My lovely, intelligent, witty roomie is CoTD!!!!!!!!! And I'm fashionably late to the party!!! It couldn't happen to a nicer person!!! Love you, my evil little bitch-cow!!
And now for the questions!!!
Which of my cast recordings drives you the most insane?
What's your dream cast of Company?
If you were going to teach an intro to musical theater class, what cast recordings would be mandatory listening?
If you could ask Mr. Sondheim one question what would it be?

Thanks, Boobs. Blood is so tacky on diamonds.
If you could interview one person (dead or alive)..who would it be and what would you ask?
It would probably have to be Edgar Allan Poe as I've been fascinated with him since I was a child. I would mostly ask him about his life and what he would have done differently, if anything. I would also go story by story and poem by poem with him and get the back story on all of them. I mean, he's already dead, so what else has he got to do?
Our boy Paul stopped by in his undies to give you his best wishes!!!
I'm sorry. I just choked on some tea reading papa's question, SG's answer to it, and katygrace's greetings....
SG, from the moment you signed up I knew I liked you.
Sondheim best buddies forever!

Oh, katygrace, I was thinking we'd have to have a showdown when we got home tonight. It's a good thing you got here.
Which of my cast recordings drives you the most insane?
Like you really need to ask, but since everyone else may not know, Rent.
What's your dream cast of Company?
Dream cast? It would definitely have Raul in it because, after seeing him play Bobby, I can't imagine anyone else. There are an awful lot of characters to decide on, but I'd love it if Elaine Stritch came back and did Joanne. I would also have loved to see Robert Westenberg do Harry because I have a feeling he was stunning. As for the rest, who knows? I liked the cast in Cincy quite a lot.
If you were going to teach an intro to musical theater class, what cast recordings would be mandatory listening?
As Thousands Cheer
Porgy and Bess
Oklahoma!
Show Boat
Company
A Little Night Music
Sweeney Todd
The Phantom of the Opera
I'm sure there're more, but I'm thinking way too hard about this.
If you could ask Mr. Sondheim one question what would it be?
"Do you realize that you've changed musical theatre as a whole and, if so, how do you feel about it?"
That's sort of two, but it's only one sentence, so it counts!

katygrace, damn! But why is he still wearing a shirt? Paul should know better than that by now. (We need to watch The Long Hot Summer again. Soon.)
cookie-- I love you.
penguin-- Cheers to my BBF!
Congrats! I haven't talked to you very much, but you seem great and I love reading your posts. Enjoy your celebrityhood!
Hopefully you don't mind if I put up a couple of questions:
If you aren't allowed to choose Sorry-Grateful, what's your next-favorite Sondheim song?
What's your favorite city?
oh my! congrats sg! I'm running late for work (VERY) but I'll be back as soon as I get there.
I've had the song "Sorry Greatful" stuck in my head all morning. How are you going to make it up to me?
Ok, now Paul says you're a picky-ass bitch. He brought our babies along to make sure you're appeased.
