I finally watched Wednesday's episode. It was the BEST EPISODE of the season. After I definetely think the show was robbed at the Golden Globes as were Eric and Sofia. (Even though both Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch are talented)

While I can't quibble about the acting decisions at the Globes, giving the Best Comedy award to Glee was absurd. Modern Family is in an entirely different class from every other comedy on TV right now.
I love Glee, but there is no way any other show should win best comedy.

Well, Community would be more deserving, but out of the actual nominees Modern Family is the best.
Here's an interesting article from the NY Times on Friday about the show:

Another great epsiode tonight. It was great to see Dylan back. I missed him. I also loved it when Gloria moved her and Jay's dinner to garage, bought him a motorcycle, and said she won by outsmarting him.

Everyone in that family is just so likable. Even when they do stupid things, you can't help but root for them. I love that this show has been on less than two years, but these characters feel like ones I've known for a long time.

I literally started clapping when Dylan showed up.
And all I could think was "Phil is going to be so happy!" I was dying for them to cut back to Phil and Claire in the bedroom, going at it, and for Phil to sit up and go "Is that Dylan?!"

Dylan's song was better than any I've heard on a Glee clip.

My favorite quotes from last night:
"Please leave your name and number after the BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!"
"If I say the word people will think it's the beep!"
Cam borderlined on being really annoying again last night. Thank goodness they turned it around.
My favorite line was Phil's line about being married to Claire. Just liked the way he delivered it.
I loved every moment Cam was onscreen last night. He just gets better and better.
And Julie Bowen's work has been so carefully calibrated this season; she can do more with a sigh or a bitten-off word than almost any actor I know.
I do wish they did more with Alex. She is so funny and so witty. I'd love to see her have more of her own story lines.
My favorite line from last night was when Gloria was talking about how she has to feel comfortable with Claire's mom... and she was talking about not missing big events in the kids lives, like "Alex's graduations and Haley's weddings". So subtle. So hilarious.
Not my favorite episode last night, but some good parts. Shelly Long was wonderful.
I'm beginning to take issue with the lack of consistency/believability with the "mock-umentry" format. I wish they would scrap that altogether and just film it.
Thought last night was as funny as any episode this season.
I even like the mockumentary style.

Kate Reinders was also funny as the princess last night.
I could not figure out who the princess was. I kept thinking Chenoweth but I knew that wasn't her. Thanks for posting who it was. She was great.
I missed Gloria's plurals! That is funny (and subtle).
I think the mockumentary style is key to the show. The takes to the camera, along with the confessions and contradictions in the "interview" sections are what give the show a lot of its depth, I think.

I finally saw last night's episode and I hope Julie Bowen submits that episode for the Emmys and next year's Golden Globes.
