The back message in the mall was priceless. Ditto for O Neills description of it.
"Come on, Luke..."
The interaction between Cam and Luke was fantastic.
LOVED when Luke said of arch-nemesis Andrew "She's even worse than you said."

I absolutely LOVED the moments between Jay and Manny this past week. I think that's why the show really does work, because beneath all the craziness there is a very real heart to it. That sets it above your standard sitcom.

"Uncle Cameron for Uncle Mitchell."
I really loved this week's episode.
When Luke took a deep breath before entering Walt's house, I just about lost it.
Luke going into the house may have been the funniest moment of the season.
I think last night's episode ranks with the very best.
It took me a second to get the point of the deep breath; then I had to watch it three times in a row.
My only quibble: If you already have Nathan Lane playing a gay guy named Pepper, do you really have to give him a Quentin Crisp wardrobe and a lapdog?
I'm not usually a fan of recognizing child actors with awards, because it's almost always for playing precocious, but I'd give Nolan Gould an Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG for playing Luke.

I was staying at my relatives over the week and I finally saw last week's episode. My favorite lines were:
"That's someone's name, Pepper?"
"They're gay, they know what shoes they own."
"What else do you have?" "Dylan's shoes."

Reg, I agree. I loved Pepper in the restaurant scene because it was a 180 from Lane's appearance the first season, in which he seemed beamed in from another world than the one Modern Family takes place in. I think the follow-up scene in this episode would have worked without having him drive Betty Buckley's car from Eight is Enough.
"Years from now these kids are still going to talk about how I Sondheimized them."
singtopher - I had to pause the DVR and rewind it at that line, it made me laugh so hard.
I also loved Alex this episode:
"That's what should have been put on the van"
Listening the Phil's side of the phone calls was priceless.

My favorite lines "Guess who else missed soccer practice? The company of 'Rent' and they have a Tony." "We have a Tony."

"Lily, if something horrible happens you are mine, all mine."

Luke: "She gave me a Woody..."
Claire: "Sweet J..."
Luke (without missing a beat): "...because she knows he's my favorite character from Toy Story."
Phil: "Sweet Son of Jor-el"
I love this show so much.
Luke really steals the show again and again.
