I liked Mr. Holland's Opus. I cried for a second when they had that lovely tribute for him at the end.

I was crying last night when I was watching "Sliding Doors." I forgot that it made me cry at the end. lol That is an awesome movie by the way. re: re: re: re: re: re: a

HEY! I have cried during movies. I just don't cry in front of people. Kodak commercials make Jarico cry. :-P

Now if we're talking about crying during operas, it's LA BOHEME for me. The tear ducts open during the twin arias in ACT ONE and then Hoover Dam explodes when Mimi dies at the end. Puccini is a genius for getting those last four notes in the score to sear my heart. I honestly can't listen to the last act of that opera while I'm driving--I did once and drove into a ditch while Mimi was dying.

Opera! Yeah, it makes me cry sometimes too. Not because of the story but some (not all) of the singing sounds a cat with it's tail caught in a grinder--Yeeaaaaooooowwwww!

Oy!

How could I have forgotten Umbrellas of Cherbourg?

The train station and Noel at the gas station.

I am an unapologetic incurable romantic under the growl (and the boxers).

Umbrellas was beautiful, Bulldog.

Were you a fan of last year's Amour?

- The Pianist
- Sea Biscuit

....Those were two of the biggest tear jerkers for me, but there are others!

See Ya!

I was listening to La Boheme (the actual opera) last night and I was bawling!

"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

I agree with you, Mister Matt. I never understood females who would say: "I wanted the Phantom to get the girl at the end." He was a homicidal maniac.

I didn't cry at the original Brian's Song, but I lost all composure at the more recent one. What a beautiful movie, person... sheesh!

One that gets me every single time I watch it is Shirley Temple in Captain January.
Its so sad when they rip Shirley out of the Captains arms and she cries, "What have I done? Why can't I be with you? Dont you like me anymore?" It kills me.
Yes I'm a dork.
