On a similar topic of "how quickly we forget", does anyone else remember the Vanity Fair article where Ivana Trump (remember her?) revealed that Trump kept a copy of Hitler's speeches on his nightstand for nightly reading?

The consequences for Kimmel are not just a result of Trump or his administration. There is also the viewers, local broadcasters, investors, advertisers, affiliates, etc. When more than half of the country, including businesses is against you (as is the case with Kimmel now), maybe it’s time to start looking at yourself instead of blaming everything on the majority and Trump. This board by the way is only a little slice of the minority, so not really representative of reality.

I thought that behavior would’ve started and ended with liking your own posts, but can’t say I’m surprised.

This board is VERY much a representation of reality in this moment. Anyone with any sense should be horrified by Kimmel’s censorship.

Disney didn’t lose BILLIONS of dollars in subscribers in less than a week because a “sliver of the minority” canceled their Disney+ subscriptions.

Not by a long shot. For example, Google just admitted to the House Judiciary Committee it had applied censorship under Biden. This is a huge scandal. Google must now end the bans of Youtube accounts of thousands of Americans censored for political speech.

Just to be perfectly clear...Biden pressuring YouTube to censor conservatives is actually censorship. Jimmy Kimmel being off the air for five days is not. 

They are not even remotely the same.

You truly do not give a flying **** about censorship. You are very sad.

You should be horrified by this terrible case of real censorship and by the terrible censorship that was executed on Charlie Kirk, by killing him. Anyone with any sense understands this difference.

And - for the very first time - I've done just that. Even with other very annoying members, I've found things to like about some of the knowledge and opinions that they share. But even Seb's on-topic rants about shows are endlessly repetitive, irritating, and thoroughly uninformative.

The other method of broadcast was the national station, which was in the news yesterday, an announcement that they would broadcast again. That's what I meant by "only halfway". They have been nothing but a great member of this board for over two decades.  I’ve seen them try to have a reasonable conversation with you, but you are anything but reasonable. Seb, you're still limiting your argument to OTA broadcasting methods ONLY. Kimmel also has a YouTube channel, as well as his show's presence on HULU, both of which hold advantages not inherent in OTA broadcasts.

According to my TV schedule, Jimmy Kimmel is still "on" tonight in our area.  Guests are Glen Powell and Sarah McLachlan.  But, doesn't start until 11:30 p.m. and that's WAY past my bedtime.  So, taping it to enjoy with tomorrow morning's cup of coffee (I hope).

Do any of you know if his show will air tonight where you live?  Or has he been cancelled?
