Miss P - I know it was February. I remember lots of things but not the olympics. Hey, I'm resigned to have forgotten at least half of what I once knew! (aging)

Jane, just fyi, I think you accidently posted a response in The Roches thread that you intended for here. I'd have pm'd you but you don't accept pm's from me. Just thought you ought to know.
This is one of those rare times that I miss TV. I love the Olympics.
Jane- I am actually a fan of televised golf, so I'm not sure you really want me to answer that.
It is a very interesting sport once you get past the fact that they are sliding a rock and sweeping the ice to make it go faster/slower/in a different direction.
I just ran home from an appointment to watch curling. Love it!
Jacob - I was only kidding about the golf. I said it because Phyllis said you could curl while drinking and eating and pregnant, so I figured it wasn't very active of a sport!

Any hockey fans out there? The U.S. team is playing well against Switzerland.
Love to watch curling. It is actually quite technical.
I'm REALLY out of the loop. Why aren't they mentioning Johnny Weir when the promote tonight's skating competition? Is he still in it?
Yes, he still in.
Although I really hope Rayn Bradley was there instead of the boring Weir.
They were talking to Weir on ESPN this morning while I was at the gym, but the volume was down and I had my i-pod on.
They reported that he had to change his costume because of PETA. It seems there was fur on it. OY, I"m sure he replaced it with lace. Adam Lambert wannabe.
Wow, that guy from France was amazing. I was very moved by his performance.
that was very beautiful. Only 19 and his first olympics.
Jane2, there was something about him that moved me to tears.
Dottie, maybe the combination of his back story and his grace.
I saw the French kid in 09 Grand Pix Paris for the first time. I tell you that kid is pure talent.
And love the trailer about Evegeny, very cocky, like the charming villan.
I love Plushy's attitude. I love people who have the goods and are confident about it. I may be moved to tears over his talent.
Jane2, could be the back story. That's absolutely heartbreaking, but thankfully it worked out for him. Can't wait to see how he grows.

Just got home...has Weir skated yet? Plushenko is on now.
Wow. I have no idea what Sandra Bezic was saying about his spins, I thought they were wonderful.
I don't know why they complain about his spins so much. They may not be the fanciest, but he does NOT travel!
screw those critism about his lack of artistry. Four years later and still no one can do that qua-triple combo. Welcome back.
Jane, I couldn't see anything wrong with his spins. They were very fast. You'd never know by the way he skated that he was away from the sport for over 3 years.
