http://www.barbarellamusical.at has a picture of Drew's act two character in the online gallery...and Eva Marie Marold rocking out as the background music. There a few extra pics of Drew's characters in the programme book, but I don't have a scanner to get them online. =(
I like it! That's him exactly! You can see that he's really a gently nice guy...but the hat, the punk posters, the rings, etc., all point to that wonderful, yummy EDGE.
A good chunk of my favorite stage actors all have kids and they're all so incredibly nice and seem like great parents. :) Especially when you hear stories. Hehehe.
I wanted to get it, but I'm going to wait and see if there'll be an American distributor. Darn you Drew and your European career!
I kept forgetting to ask -- is Drew still doing the neck tic? He was doing it in SF and it continually amused me, but it also impressed me because it was just one more fun little thing he'd added to the character. It wasn't annoying with the frequency at which he did it, but it was definitely consistent.

You know, I have no idea because I was sitting nosebleed when I saw the show. But it's reasons like that that I want to sit up front! I miss little things that make the characters even better.
Barbarella is, by far, my favorite thing he's done.
His solo CD is incredible. "Casanova's Waltz", "Let It Lie", and "Strange and Beautiful" are my favorites, hands down. I'm really, really looking forward to International Victim's CD... recorded but without a release date.
I'm giddy that with Armand, Drew is finally getting the American fans he deserves. I know there have been a few floating around for a while with Der Gloekner, but this is opening up the floodgates for a whole "fandom".
I'm really... interested to see the Tony nominations for this year.

Now...SPECULATION!!! Some friends and I had a half-joking conspiracy theory (based on the fact that Drew was so well known in Europe, yet ended up in the ensemble of a Broadway show) that they decided during rehearsals they were going to get rid of Noseworthy anyway to promote Drew. Or Drew was unofficially promised Armand or Lestat whenever the role became available. AGAIN, JUST SPECULATION!!!!

Didn't it say someplace that this is due out sometime this year?

As much praise as Drew is getting from fans, I think it's all going to depend on critics, sadly. There's a tight race for all acting catagories. But if Drew DOES snag a nomination? Insert me freaking out beyond belief..... here.
OMG, Lizzie! Hahaha.. I can't believe you found that. Drew was so young when he did that! Well, not *so* young, but he was about.. what.. 20?
I would love to see him get a nomination for Lestat. I don't know if it'll happen due to the not-so-warm reactions to the show itself. Do you think it would featured or leading? I think he and Allison are the only two people who have a chance at it from this show.

Norbert Leo Butz got his first Tony nomination as Featured Actor in a Musical for Thou Shalt Not even though the critics (and audiences) hated it. So anything is possible.
Oooh, Drew's an August kid just like me! I wonder what day. But I can totally see how he's a Leo. Hehe. Updated On: 4/14/06 at 03:22 AM
