I was very surprised he'd never done Rent or Les Miz in Europe. It seems like either would've been very obvious. Then again, he seems to not really perform in traditional musicals, so there ya go. (At least the description works for Les Miz, more or less.)

Of shows that are open right now, Rent is really the only one I can see him doing beside Lestat. Mainly because of the fact that he can totally rocker belt it. I'd kill to hear Drew sing "Your Eyes" ... swoon!

Actually, I'd really love to hear him tackle Phantom. I don't think it would EVER happen, but it'd be a nice, rock-ish take. Like, say, if Gerard Butler could sing.

If they don't record and album for the new cast of Les Mis I'm going to hurt someone.

Call me crazy but you know what I'd love to see Drew do? Freddie in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, I don't know if he's ever done comedy. He always seems to play the twisted, dark and menacing, not to mention the insane. But I'd love to see him do it. :)

He was my favorite male voice in Lestat. I actually loved this show! He was great in it, as was the rest of the cast

And I don't know about Drew as Freddie... it could work. But again with the not knowing if he's done comedy thing..

Eponine, yeah he was great after the show. Wickedgeek was with me and complimented his dressing room after watching the Lestat blogs.

Thank you for the welcome thespian, I compliment your Kevin Kern icon, I saw him as Marius a month to the day Les Mis closed :) And I am up for another recording of mis. This would make the 4th I would own uh-oh lol

I find myself pretty disappointed with the voices on the 10th anniversary concert, yet I love its completeness. However, it is the opposite for the OBC, yet I adore all the voices. I only wish that Every day/Heart full of love reprise were on the OBC.

And in regards to the 10th anniversary concert.. I love Michael Ball and Lea Salonga (sp?), and their rendition of A Little Fall of Rain totally makes me cry. Sigh.

Oh, I know the feeling. It was just me and a couple of other people (insert pointed looks at ET and Lizzie) always ended up turning Lestat threads on the main board into Drew Sarich threads so I was like ... it's time to make one for the guy.

I remember when they announced that Drew was taking over Armand offically, I started a thread about it. Everyone on this board was like "Who? What?" and now everyones raving about him, and I'm sitting back here thinking "Told yeah. Heh heh." =)

Me too, Eponine! I've loved him since Der Glockner, and that's been YEARS. I've just been waiting for him to get his due!

...and for the record, I have 22 Les Mis recordings (plus others). *giggle*
