i'm pretty sure the general public didn't see the logo and go "oh! colours! yeah, they're really great!"
if you recognize the logo, chances are it's because you or someone you know uses a wheelchair, and you already knew about the company because of how well known in the disability community they are. it's not like you're going to go out and buy one because you saw it on glee.
i kind of think they DID buy the colours chair... ultra-lightweight chairs are custom fit to the rider. what he was using last season was obviously something that was a prop and was not fit to him. what he is using this season is.

Abba - what you wrote is reminding me of the discussion here about the deaf community, and the different viewpoints about raising children (I think it got started because of a video of deaf parents who wanted to not do a cochlear implant.) You mention the good they could do by showing Artie's capabilities with the chair - but I wonder if it's such a bad thing to portray the desire to walk again.
It sort of stuck out to me that it wasn't presented as HIS desire, but Britney's - he simply wanted to because it would keep her belief in Santa intact.
I do think you have made some interesting points - certainly nothing I would have thought about (it's just too far out of my experience.)
it's not a bad thing to protray that, but there have been several episodes devoted to that.
it irks me because it seems like artie or whoever is waiting for a magical cure. i know people who have sustained SCI or have a SCD and have re-learned how to walk, but not with a pair of robotic pants strapped to their legs, and certainly not just by wishing really hard.
if they want to show his desire to walk, show him in physical therapy, show the slow progress that actually does lead somewhere.
they also kind of imply that artie can do things, but never show him doing them... like when britt was upset and he said he's drive her home, i would have loved to see him wheel out to the parking lot and go up to a car fit with hand controls. you'd be surprised at how many people think that if your feet don't work, you can't drive.

Abba - that seems to fall in the category of how much responsibility do they bear to represent a certain sub-group. Sounds like some of the discussion I read about Kurt's portrayal on the show. If Artie is presented as whole within the created world (however unstable that creation appears to be,) should they feel obligated to present further aspects? I don't think any of them are shown in a complete sense, but rather only within the context that is viewed through school - and selected home lives of some. Perhaps a time will come when Artie is delved into on a deeper level, and some of your concerns can be addressed.

My favorite moments from tonight were when Brittany, Quinn, and Santana quit the Cheerios and went back to the Glee club. I also thought it was funny when Rachel, Mercedes, Lauren, and Tina walked down the field in uniforms and Karofsky said, "You've got to be kidding me."
It was a blast...... until Quinn kissed Finn. Seriously my whole floor screamed in horror when that happened.
I also would have kept Lauren in the football game. She was a badass.
And Katie Couric's Sue interview was condescendingly patronizing and stilted. Almost too real.
I liked it. The Quinn thing only bothered me because she is dating Sam. Finn is single though, so it has nothing to do with him at all.
The sad thing though is their Chevy commercial was a lot better than anything that was aired during the game.

Oh I forgot about Katie's interview with Sue. That was also a great moment.
Fingers crossed Finn and Sam will have a sexy fight next episode
I liked the Thriller number and Lea's version of Need You Now. They were my favorite moments from the show. I nearly missed the whole California Gurls number. I also liked the part where Sue was throwing everything around when Principal Figgins told her she wasn't allowed to cannon any of her students considering it was dangerous.

What in the world was that last night? Because it sure wasn't a good show.
The filming of Fat Bottomed Girls was horrible. I have to go back and watch, but I think there's a second where Mercedes is standing, they cut away and then cut back to a long shot and you see her stand up.
Please explain what Tina's song was because maybe I missed something. Was there a point to that? Give the actress a break. The Tina character could be an interesting character but she can't work with crappy material.
I like what they are doing with the Lauren character, but at some point she is going to have to sing.
Chord Overstreet should be really ticked off because all his time is going to Darren Criss. The whole Gap scene was a huge waste of time. Criss will not be part of the permanent cast so why should we care who he's trying to woo?
Emma needs to be more of the story. Her character is fun and is a nice contrast to both Sue and Coach Beste.
Always glad to see Becky. Her scenes are always well done.
And on a side note, it's getting to where I sit through Glee so I can see Raising Hope which is still funny. I don't know who thinks that stuff up, but the "leaving a message" scene and Martha Plimpton blowing that recorder was hilariously genius.
We all know my general feelings on Season 2, but I actually really liked last night. It was adorable. LOVED Fat Bottom Girls!!! Interested to see where they go with some of these story lines. Only thing I wasn't overly thrilled with was the gap scene. I like Criss but every performance is the same hammed up acting.
And as much as I want as much screen time for my future husband as possible, I am so glad they didn't do a whole "I'm alone on V-Day with no date/Emma's married/etc" saga. They kept it to the kids.
Getting inside Santana's mind to learn about her intentions of biological warfare was a treat. Props to Naya Rivera in this episode, especially in getting her butt kicked in the fight.
I think Blaine's Gap performance looking that desperate was on purpose. I mean he got his intended fired for a reason. I love how dramatic The Warblers got over the very suggestion of performing off school grounds.

I think Chord Overstreet deserves much better than singing a Justin Beiber song next week.

Liked last night's episode, but not as much as the Super Bowl episode from Sunday. The music seemed off to me, although Fat Bottomed Girls was fun. Santana fighting Lauren was funny too.

I enjoyed last night's episode especially the "Take Me or Leave Me" number. My respect for Will went up when they showed how well he worked with the kids at the hospital. I'm interested to see what the original music will be like if they use it at regionals.
TMoLM sounded awesome but I don't think I can actually watch the performance again. Lea's pained facial expressions took me out of the moment.
I do not like Beiber, but I thought the guys were cute. Yay Sam dumping quinn, but not him rushing right to Santana, but this is HS.
LOVED the scene with the kids.
I think I liked this weeks episode better than the Valentine's Day one. Okay, the Justin Bieber music was annoying, but at least the guys made it a little tolerable. I think the Brittany and Rachel interactions were my favorite parts.
I really had no problem with the two Justin Bieber songs because a.) the guys are better singers and b.) they were clearly making fun of the mania surrounding him by making the girls go wild for them while they cross-promoted their American Apparel hoodies.
Not sure what to think of the songwriting storyline. I am rooting for The Warblers at this point anyway.
And why is nobody taking about Mark Salling shaking what his mother gave him decked out in only his underwear and a wifebeater? The shots of all of them are hysterical actually with Rachel wearing the same clothes, Sue's outfit, and Finn in a Power Rangers t-shirt.
Will at the children's hospital, it is getting to be 'so typical him' (to borrow from Archer), but he definitely knows how to temporarily remedy Sue Sylvester.
So Sue is for Oral Intensity, Cheyenne Jackson is taking Idina's place (or is he? did they qualify?), and The Warblers in addition to Will Schuester are competing head to head. This could actually top last years' Regionals.

Am I the only one who loved this episode?
It was great even if I cared little about the songs. Brittany for her lines alone:
Everybody drink responsibly!
Quinn: There's a lot of pot calling the kettle black going on here.
Brittany (looking at Mercedes): That is so racist!
Kurt's reaction to how Rachel dealt with Blaine's rejection was also pretty funny.
I loved it as well. Although I hate Ke$ha, that part was really funny.
I really like this episode - Brittany was clearly the star this week. I also loved Coach Beast.
I am not a fan of Sue pushing people down stairs......I don't find this humorous at all. I adore her character except for that.
