Namo, I can only imagine she projects on herself a size that is larger than reality.
Years ago, when I was struggling with some of these issues, I was asked to point people who were the same size as me (I was probably 20-30 pounds overweight at the time, alas, a little bit more now), and I would look for 300 pound women and larger. I was a two sport varsity athlete, and in my head, I was the size of Divine.
I have no argument that weight shaming/mocking exists and some of the crap that gets dealt to the overweight (having been on the receiving end) - I am just not sure this particular exercise is a good example.
Had she been dressed as an adult (she seems to be dressed like a teenager), in work clothes, behaving like someone who is not either lost or unstable, and garnered the same reactions, I think it would be more valid sample set.
But yeah, she is large, but not someone out of the ordinary in any given WalMart.
And Taz, I just think she has internalized all of the weight messaging you get when you are overweight to the point of assuming everything is about weight. Sometimes, it just isn't.
