Christhefish, THANK you! It's like they have two of everybody in case one gets broken.
So far no villain seems to have emerged. The worst anyone seems to be is annoying (Suede, I'm looking in your direction).

Keith is being portrayed as a bit of a jackass... The promos for next week make it appear as though he is tampering and interfering with other contestants. (But it may just be the editing).
Suede is just a wee bit crazy.

Posted: 7/31/08 at 10:06amSuede strikes me the same way Kayne did. Kinda white trashy, trailer parky, but harmless and fun.

Suede is a little too much using the third person. However, I like him as a designer.
That too-tan starer who wants to throw orange slices and bite people (or whatever he said) is super annoying. His attempt to coin every word by adding "Liscious" to it is pathetic.

Unfortunately, Christian put a bad idea in everyone's head: the way to stretch your 15 minutes to 20 is by having a catch phrase.
So now we get -licious (and did I hear a "Timlicious" last night???) and Suede's third-person narration.
Shut up and sew, b*tches!

I agree about suede - if he did not have that third person thing, I would like him.
I think he is a bit more talented/diverse than Kayne.

They spent so much time on Keith last night that I assumed he was going to either win or lose last night.
I dont care too much for Blayne, but he seems simple and harmless, if trying too hard to be a character. Stella seems like a stubborn douchebag who either doesnt want to be there or is trying WAY too hard to be the biker chick. She should've gone home the first week, imo. Jerry's raincoat was at least ambitious, unlike the piece of crap she sent down unfinished down the runway.
I think Kenley won over the more deserving Leanne because she was a close second last week (I think she should've won last week...there was something ill fitting about Suede's woven dress. There was a lump under the model's left arm.) This week, her garment seemed very well made, but having lived through the 80s, I hated the fabric and the shoulders. It was surely costumey and I cannot think of who would actually wear it out (the garments this week were supposed to be wearable, correct?)
Suede must stop talking in the third person. It's idiotic. He, too, is trying too hard to be a character. It's like they are all trying to be the one Amy Poehler or Tina Fey parody when they host SNL.

I disagreed with both the winner and loser last night. I've enjoyed Kenley so far, but I'm sorry, that dress was hideous last night. The print and the neckline were cringe-worthy.
Leann should have won.
And while I didn't like Emily's dress, I thought both Kenley and Jennifer's were much worse.
And I love Tim Gunn.

I liked Leann's outfit last night as much as I've liked any, in any season. I thought it was top notch.

I agree...that skirt was perfect.
Her garment reflected what was in her photo perfectly as well. Kenley fell far short of that challenge as well, imo.

Posted: 7/31/08 at 10:52amI like the blond guy who has the southern accent. I'm a sucker for a blond gay guy with a southern accent. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? haha, I can't even think of what he designed-I just like him!
#137re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 7/31/08 at 10:54amI agree that Leanne perfectly represented her picture. Looking at the designs again, I would have been happy if any of the top three had one, they were all very well made.
#138re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 7/31/08 at 11:03amI saw Katie Perry on the View the other day. Her style reminds me so much of Kenly. I could definitely see Kenly designing for her in the future.

Jane, I have no idea who you are talking about. None of the blond guys have southern accents, do they?
Blayne is from the northwest and Suede is from Ohio, and they are both fairly annoying (not to make fun of your taste
)

I think Blayne has taste up his spray-tanned orange ass. I've hated everything he's designed so far. I know he's harmless but he's still annoying.
I don't love anyone and although I still watch, the show has lost it's spark for me.
I miss Santino, Nick, Andre, Daniel V., Austin Scarlett...
Jane, although I think you're right about the whole "au courant" thing, I still would have picked Leann. Sometimes au courant is really inventive and cool, and you can see why someone is special (some of Christian Siriano's designs, for example). Then there are times that ugly is just UGLY. I'd have chosen two of the "safer" designers...Laura Bennett with her classic, gorgeous gowns or Ulli with her trendy Miami outerwear to win over Jeffrey in Season three any day of the week. I just thought they were better designers overall and found their work to be far more pleasing aesthetically.

Ohhh Santino.
Love him. No contestant has matched his Tim Gunn impression yet.
#149re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 7/31/08 at 11:45amBlue-I noticed that they seem to veer towards the au courant a lot of the time, even when it's up against magnificent work like we saw last night.
