I would have been fine with either of the bottom two going. It was a case of bizarre design vs. poor execution.
"At least the other guy (leaving out name purposely) had a concept."
Just having a concept is not enough if the concept is flawed.
Both episodes now I have agreed with the judges on the winners and the bottom three, though I still disagree about having that red dress in the top 3 last week. I just can't bring myself to like it.

I agree with the judges this week.
And last week.
I think Mitchell has some good ideas, but hope he can work on his execution. It will be interesting to see if he can turn it around.
I enjoy the down to earth comments of the judges.
Now, about those models... I think the model's reaction to being picked by Mitchell was TOTALLY unprofessional and uncalled for. I hope SHE goes home!

Posted: 8/27/09 at 11:36pm^Agreed. She should have been grateful to have been picked at all...she seems like she'll be a nightmare next week as well.

I hope it doesn't backfire on Mitchell.
I would REALLY like to see him get it together to move forward and continue to show his designs.

Mitchell is awful.
There were some great designs tonight, I doubt that Mrs. Brd would have worn any of them while pregnant, but I hope that because of this show there are better options for pregnant women in Target, K-Mart, etc. We were young and poor and there did not seem to be any reasonable options 10-15 years ago.

pick the models? I guess you now have to watch the extra half hour to see that.
I totally thought Mitchell was going home today after last week's fiasco.

Mitchell lucked out that they had a design they just genuinely didn't like over his design, which they seemed to think was ok, just poorly executed. He had just better not turn in any more shoddy craftsmanship because that will mean the end of him.
And of course the way they are doing this models' show I could almost see his new model doing something to sabotage him. That b*tch was pissed!

Posted: 8/28/09 at 10:45amI missed the ending. I also forget the designer's names. Did the guy with the chicken and the egg concept go home? That was horrific. It reminded me of a 1980s outfit gone wrong/an ugly snuggly or whatever you call those baby carriers.

I thought Ra'Mon should have gone...his dress was ugly AND poorly made. I thought he did a great job last week and was hoping for big things from him, but that was just awful!
I liked everyone's designs last night, except for the bottom three.
LOVED the winning outfit.

I was fine with how it turned out because Malvin reminded me of every pretentious, annoying pseudo-intellectual person I encountered in the art department, whose art was just too good for the rest of us to understand. Also, his speaking voice reminded me of Michael Jackson and that was unsettling.
I think that Mitchell's non-threatening cute gayness and the fact that there were somehow things on the runway worse than his (twice!) has saved him so far, but that can't last.
The model that Mitchell stole probably isn't going to help him much, either. Woah, unprofessional. If I were Logan, I'd be afraid. Also loved when she said that it was really sweet that Logan had said that he picked out a color of fabric to go with her skin, which meant he was thinking of her as a person and not just a clothes hanger. Um... it could just mean that he thinks of you as a clothes hanger that comes in a particular color.

Exactly. I agree completely.

I was VERY surprised with the judging this week.
SPOILERS:
I know Mitchell was awful, but sending the "team leader" of the winning team home? Not unjustified, just unprecedented. Admittedly, I'm biased, because... well, I want to do him, but still. I couldn't argue with Ra'mon doing well, but the chartreuse dress with a tampon commercial stain on it? Avant-garde?
Johnny and Irina's avant-garde was a blatant recreation of the Rami finale collection look that Amanda wore, which I'm surprised they didn't mention, but it was still very pretty, and their beachwear look was gorgeous.
Honestly, I would have been happy if they'd booted both Epperson and Qristyl. (I had to think hard about how to spell that!) They made unattractive clothes, and their argument in front of the judges was just inexcusable. I don't disagree Mitchell needed to go, especially given his past output, but in this specific challenge, the other two embarrassed themselves more thoroughly.

Posted: 9/4/09 at 8:11amI wanted Qristyl to go because of the way she spells her name.

I'm so glad they gave credit where credit is due!
Blue, I also hate the spelling of her name. I was trying to pronounce it phonetically but it was impossible! How pretentious.

I want Qrstl to effing win so she can buy a GDAmmed U!
If I were a judge I'd ask her every week to explain the pronunciation of her name.
I agree they were both aholes, but it was time for Mitchell to go...he really didnt seem to care that much about the competition. I'm glad he didnt try to take credit where it wasnt due, but I was surprised how little he fought to stay. He seems like a cute and sweet kid tho. I was surprised how upset the models were when he left.
It was similar to Top Chef this week, where, on the winning team of two, one won the challenge and they brought the other one back for the bottom three because he didnt do anything to help the team.

I thought that, too! (the similarity to the Top Chef episode)
I miss the New York vibe on Runway.

Of COURSE Mitchell deserved to go home. He didn't do a damn thing and even said he chose Ra'Mon to be on his team so Ra'Mon could carry him.
He just wanted to be on TV.
#97re: Project Runway Season 6 on Lifetime Thread!
Posted: 9/4/09 at 1:31pmMitchell doesn't have much talent and needed to go. He's a mess. Epperson is a hot mess too and should be next. Deluded and a mess.

I totally agree. My jaw dropped when he said that! My favorite designs last night were Logan's and the other dude. I thought their big poofy dress was spectacular AND he made his own hat.

Posted: 9/4/09 at 3:36pmI gained a lot of respect for the judges for outing him even though he was technically on the winning team. And I loved Heidi "Three strikes you're OUT".
