So- $8000 for the first season which I'm sure goes up the next season. So- after 4 years, the OC wives could make $32000+- That doesn't seem that bad for having a camera follow you around for a couple of hours. That would pay for my son's college in this state! Of course Lauren Conrad makes $100,000 per episode! I also wonder if the NYC housewives donated theirs to charity- of all the series- they seem to be the most charitable- especially Jill. Can't wait for Tuesday night! By the way, my husband got sucked into the Millionaire Matchmaker- oy!
I watched that the other night, SM! I couldn't believe how ridiculously narcissistic the one guy was. Unbelievable.
yeah- I totally agree. I thought it was funny how the guy from last season's final episode who "propsed" to Sydney was kicked out of Patti's office. What a fake. I couldn't believe the girl had already gotten engaged to one of ther other clients- I ain't sayin' she's a goldigger but... Anyway, I get a kick out of Patti- she's so full of it!
Is Patti the owner? Her hair gets on my last nerve!
These women are well-to-do. Seems to me $32000 over four years wouldn't really be worth it to them.
Yeah- Patti is the owner. #32000 would be good for a charity but I think they're in it for the fame.
Anyone besides me still hanging in there?
I just finished watching the third episode of Season 2 and here are some random impressions:
- They are each more prepared for playing to the camera this time around, either embracing those characteristics assigned to them that they like, or toning down to refute the negatives.
- In the end, it doesn't matter, because their true nature shines through.
- Ramona is just plain bat sh*t narcissistically crazy.
- LuAnn's sense of entitlement that comes from being the fourth wife of the Count is getting on my last nerve (in a good way, of course). Her condescending attitude, especially toward Rosie (the help) is nauseating.
- Jill has bought into her own PR and is coming across almost like a parody of herself.
- I want to b*tch-slap Jill the next time she uses the term "gay husband". And someone, please, put Brad out of his misery.
- Alex and Simon...it's a strange relationship, but they do seem like a team. If she isn't bothered by his creepiness, who am I to judge? And is it my imagination, or did she have some work done on her teeth since last season?
- And Bethenny. She seems real to me. As much as anyone who is that totally focused on self promotion can seem. Oddly, I've warmed up toward her.
- The new woman...the jury is still out. She has a seductive low-key and pleasant presence...so far. Waiting to see the other side.
I'm still a little worried about how much I enjoy disliking this show. Can't wait for next week!
I watched the first episode and have the next two stored on the dvr...Someone told me that Ramona was 53 years old or something close to that. I have to say, for as annoying and crazy as she is, she's looking pretty good!
I only saw the first one (I think). It started with the dog birthday party? Anyway, that in itself was pretty hilarious. LuAnne was my least favorite, and Bethany was my favorite. I'll have to try and catch the latest one this weekend.
I think Ramona and her husband are BOTH playing up to the camera. LuAnn is definitely throwing her title around more this time! Jill just cracks me up- as does Bethany. Personally, I don't really care about Kelly! Silex- which is what Jill and Bethany call them- seem to really like each other's company. I saw J and B on Bonnie Hunt. They said that both Silex do work and when they are filming- that's the only time they really have together- which is in the evening and weekends. They do see to be good parents though. At least they show them working on charities. The OC women just showed off. Their final episode where Vicki was showing off the watch she bought herself, Tamra getting her gift from her husband, and Gretchen's motorcycle was just disgusting. It was a party- not a time to give gifts to show off to the other guests- just sayin. I do feel bad that Jill's friends don't help her as much with her charity- or so it seems! And yet, I still watch!

I LOVE the OC and have seen exactly one episode of NY. Didn't like is as much but I got a kick out of the wacky couple who love to shop together (the husband wore a Speedo and had a fixation with weird, colorful footwear). They're funny because, although they're CLEARLY bizarre, ridiculous and self-absorbed, they really don't seem to give a crap about what anyone else thinks of them.
You think Ramona looks good? I don't get it...I think she is awful looking! I can't stand when women get Botox. She looks perpetually surprised and is tough to look at.
Bethenny and Jill seem to have a real friendship. I still have residual Bethenny hatred from The Apprentice: Martha, though.
The only good looking woman, in my opinion, is Jill. I can tell she was quite pretty when she was younger. She resembles a redheaded Dinah Manoff.
I like that she seemed devoted to her daughter and husband, but otherwise she came across like a bit of a pain in the ass. And what a yenta!

I guess I should re-phrase. I just don't think she looks 53!! LOL at the look of perpetual surprise - she always looks like she's going to jump through the TV and start punching someone!

I think women who inject that crap into their foreheads don't realize how terrible it looks and how obvious it is.
It's the big fake collagen lips that kill me - I just want to say YOU WILL NEVER LOOK LIKE ANGELINA JOLIE!
Well, I'm not yet caught up, and have only seen the first eppie of this season. I like the OC, NY and Atlanta versions but only like Jill on this incarnation. She is actually funny (Bethenney can be funny, but she is such a blowhard ahole, and I too hate her from the Apprentice). I may not like Jill all the time, she can be a Yenta, etc...but I think her heart is in the right place and she is the only one I could spend any time with. Ramona is a freakshow and her accent drives me nuts...I cant even place where it's from. She's deluded, but her husband is kinda cute and her kid seems okay.
Alex will never be okay in my book since after the opera event last year she CLEARLY was thrilled to be in the paper, a corner of the back of her dress actually, and claimed it was "always nice to be photographed" in the most smug attitude, as if she's EVER been photographed for a society page...ICK!
I think her husband is creepy mccreepster! And I dont think they are great parents. I think they love their boys, but that isnt all there is to parenting. The kids' behavior at the final holiday party last year? The way the one kid spoke to the assessor for the school? They're going to be messed up.
I liked LuAnn last year, even though I wasnt thrilled about her parenting either, she did have a good sense of humor. I was suprised she came back this season.
I think Luann and Jill both are very pretty and take good care of themselves. I'd like to see Alex get a facial and a weave, or a comb.
Doodle, I just want to trim the ends of her hair anytime I watch!! She drives me crazy - and I thought her kids were nightmares!
Which one is Alex? Is she the one who shops with her husband? I couldn't believe how much money they spent in that store in Sag Harbor.
Yeah, she's the one with the shopping husband.

Bethenny is funny, but she's got a very crass edge to her that's very unflattering.
Jill's mom is pretty funny.
Ramona is a bit nutty, yes, but she seems to have a really level-headed daughter - go figure.
Regarding the OC - did anyone watch the reunion? Tamyra came off looking like a jealous little sister, and Kara got a boob job? Because "she just got out of a really bad relationship" and "wanted that to be her graduation present"? Because that's healthy.....

Ramona's bug eyes remind me of Mink Stole's character in the orginal "Hairspray" movie. She played Corny's assistant Tammy and always looked either suprised or indignant.
I saw Luann Tuesday night at 33 Variations and she stunningly beautiful in person and about 6'3 in heels.
OMG, Misschung, Jill's mom was cracking me up.
So I set my DVR to record this on Tuesdays. The new ones are the ones at 10 right?
Every time LuAnn throws around her title, and I just wanna be like, dude, your name is LuAnn. That's a character on "King of the Hill."
If I were a countess I'd change my name to something a bit more regal and a little less hillbilly.

rofl. When she said that to pizza delivery guy, I was like "seriously?"
I generally like Jill, but her husband makes my skin crawl.
