I KNOW! Why does the pizza guy need to know she's a countess? Why?
EVERYONE needs to know she's a countess!
If I were one of the housewives, I'd totally get her this:

I sometimes wonder if she's prodded to say that...when she was ordering the pizza, she said it and then laughed.
She is quite full of herself this season, but I still like her, whiskey-smoker voice and all. I think she's very attractive.
The majority of them seem to have an agenda this season: Ramona is hawking her skin care line, Jill has a "Team Jill" clothing line, and LuAnn and Bethenny are marketing books. I haven't figured out Alex's angle yet, but she most likely has one, too. Unless it was just refusing to be driven off by the others.
She just wants to claw her way to the top of New York society...Good luck with that, honey.
Well, at least in Alex's defense- I never hear her talk bad about the others like they do of her. The way she handled the Jill thing was pretty professional. I do get a kick out of the fact that they have to brag about how worldly they are though. I do think they are very loyal to their friends. I'd love to see some of her graphic art. I don't understand why Ramona has a skin care line- is she a chemist? Same for Laurie's daughter on the OC. I get so mad at all these people hawking products without really having the knowledge. I see all those struggling designers on Project Runway who have studied and worked hard throughuout their life and Hillary Duff has a clothing line! Also- how can LuAnn do a book about etiquette when she didn't even show up with her kids to help Jill like she promised! Silex at least sponsored 2 kids. I just want to see Noel break dance again- he was soooo good- ha!
I hate to say it, but I know someone who was featured on the show and I have ran into Ramona in real life.
There is a guy that my dad knows because they grew up next door to one another. He ended up becoming pretty wealthy and owns a bunch of schools in the city. Some for kids with learning issues some just fancy prep type schools for kids. In one episode of season one Ramona mentioned to ( I believe Alex, though I could be wrong) that she knew the person who owned Claremont Prep. That person was my Dad's friend. And, he was featured in another episode when they went on a tour of the school.
Michael (My dad's friend) has his offices in one of his other schools called The Rebecca School, which is a school for kids with autism. Michael gave my dad a spare floor that he wasn't using to use as temporary office space for my dad's business with a two page lease. I was at my dad's office after school one day and went out to get a coffee or something. I saw Ramona talking to him in the lobby as I was walking out. She made some comment about how I was dressed ( T shirt, matching plaid over shirt jeans and sneakers) and was surprised that "he would allow someone that shlubby" to walk around his school. And that she thought that knowing him, Michael would have people dress more proper for a workplace setting. He pulled me aside and pointed out that I was a good family friend and that I could basically walk in wearing whatever I wanted and he would be more then okay with it.
She was kind of taken aback but I walked out of there happy. I got the impression after meeting her that she feels that everyone has to meet her standards which are very high. And, she finds it to be strange when people can't.
Great scoop Winston but it was Jill that said that to Alex. (I loved that episode when Simon told the headmaster that the kids had been on the beach all summer speaking French- it was such a weird thing to drop). Anyway, not surprised that Ramona would act that way! She loves to put that foot in her mouth! Glad your dad's friend took up for you!
Truth be told, I can't remember the names of the housewives ( other then Ramona because my dad's friend used her name in front of me).
I have been to Claremont Prep (the school that they were looking at in the show). My mom runs a non profit that helps out families with children with learning differences and she had a conference there and Michael (the owner of the school, my dad's friend, and the person who was giving them the tour on the show) donated the school for us to use. Being that my mom was running it I was there helping out. And, let me tell you it is WAY to fancy for a school.
Yeah, Claremont looked beautiful on the show. Looks like Francois wasn't accepted though-ha! Sounds like you have a great mom! My sister is a special ed teacher and I know how hard that is!
HA! I love that he put her in her place!
I think that if Ramona was commenting on what someone was doing in one of Michael's schools then the Rebecca School was the wrong place to do it. As I said earlier, my Dad runs a clinic that does educational evaluations for kids with learning issues, and Michael gave him a floor that he wasn't using as office space to help him get started. The teacher's there are working very hard and are over worked. Because it is a school for kids with autism they work pretty much five days a week year round. But, some of the things that they do could be a bit more professional. I remember the last time I was there was when I was visiting home from college and I saw in the lobby right by the front desk, posted on the wall in full view of everyone, was the Super Bowl pool that the teachers were having.
I mean, there is nothing wrong with starting up an office Super Bowl pool. But, they could have kept it hidden from everyone else.
I'm watching what I think is the 2nd episode right now. Alex has the same bathing suit cover up on as one that I have. It's from Target.....LOL!
And Simon kinda creeps me out - I gotta agree with Ramona on that.
Stockard, I'm watching as well. I've got to say, I feel like kicking that Countess in the ass. She's bugging the crap out of me this season!
My husband keeps walking through the room laughing at me that I'm watching.
That tea dance looked like a blast, and I LOVED Bethenny's dress.
Danmag, I'm with you all the way about the Countess. What a condescending b*tch.

I want to like the Countess because she probably is a nice person deep down, and does do a lot for different charities... but I found it extremely rude when she had the lunch for her daughter and would make sny comments about manners. Her daughter looked fine to me. It just came off as being a bully.
Jill and Betheny are still my favorites. Just something about them... maybe I can relate to them... idk.
Kelly does nothing for me... at least Lynne was nuts.
I'm not sure what Kelly's deal is going to be. It seems like she's just shoved in there like an afterthought.
