I'd go gay for Rachel.

Kringas I was glad there wasn't a music video mid movie. The two things I saw before this one were Bewitched(two music videos) and Must Love Dogs and both had mini music videos in the middle of the story! What's that for? To go and get popcorn?
I expected much more after all the positive buzz. Was never really at the edge of my seat or feeling the suspense.
However, Rachel McAdams saved what could have been a disastrously over-acted role.
Nice and twisty in the first hour or so? Only if you haven't seen the trailer which basically contains the entire movie.
I thought it was a very good movie, but not as great as all the buzz it's gotten.
Rachel McAdams completely makes the movie, and it amazed me how she was able to flesh out such a full character from what little she was given in that department.
But there were definitely a lot of different believabilty problems at various parts of the movie.
I thought the script needed a little help. Especially the whole schpeel about "male" logic versus "female" logic. I would have liked to see Rippner's character developed more. I enjoyed th movie, though, especially since I only paid $5.
Saw the movie yesterday, and enjoyed it immensely. After the travesty that was Cursed, Wes Craven reminds us why he was once known as a master of suspense. In fact, only one scene in the werewolf film even remotely hinted at Craven's talent (Mya's scene in the parking garage).
This was simply a "lean and mean" little thriller. Rachel McAdams is... going to be a big star. And rightfully so. Very few young actresses today can just take a thin part and make it something much more. She is fantastic in this movie, and adds layers and depth to her role. For example, look at the scene where she tells Rippner how she got her scar.
Speaking of Rippner, the role could have been played over the top, but Murphy is above that. He is so deliciously evil, you can practically the audience licking their lips (though, the females might be doing that for a different reason). One moment that I loved... Watch the way his eyes and face subtly change as soon as he says (and I'm paraphrasing) "Actually, my business is about all you". I would also like to mention Jayma Mays's work as Cynthia. She's a real find.
Score and editing are top-notch, but Brian Cox is wasted.
