Great to read about Rosie's actions during the tapings. I caught about 5 minutes earlier and I head "O Network" and "Oprah" several times. Is that part of the queen's demands for airing the show on her network :-P?

I drove by Harpo on Monday night, I assume her show is taped there?

I will watch whenever Russell Brand ISN'T on. So irritating. Like an emaciated Ricky Gervais.

Just saw the whole Valerie Harper segment and it was great. Like the old Rosie Show. I find it comforting and retro and it makes me feel the golden glow of the halcyon days of the 90s. My biases are transparent, but I'm glad she's back, doing what she does. Keep her away from variety and Variety, and politics, even though I agree with her (on TV, where she's humorless; her blog isn't my concern), and let her love show biz. That's what I want.

Yes the interview with Valerie Harper was BY FAR the best on the show this week. Not sure if was because they are friends in real life or because Rosie is getting more comfortable.

I'm done with her show. How I tried. Her show is dull and unfocused. The musical number with her interns last night was hideous and amateurish. She now has someone speaking via skype about the Wall Street protest, but the woman Rosie is talking to is going on and on and on.... Had enough, turned the channel.

Rosie seems stiff and uncomfortable and the show has a disjointed feel. I honestly think Rosie is not comfortable in the medium anymore. I think she left TV at the right time and came back for the wrong reasons.
If she is going to do TV I think she's be better with an intimate one on one talk show with people she admires and has a lot of energy for.

Everything about the show seems "off", disjointed and forced. I think her production team during her first show was top notched, whereas I don't think anyone on her team at the moment has an exact clue what they want this show to be.

She should be doing the type of show that Joy Behar is doing on HLN. She'd be great at it.

Luscious-I totally agree with you. :)

In my opinion it seems that they are trying to make improvements, show wise and in other ways. For instance as I watch it now I can tell the chairs have been replaced with a more "relaxed" chair and the announcer has been let go and being replaced with audiences members of the day which Rosie herself said is "kinda like my old show".

The original announcer was Michele Blakely who appeared in the '94 revival of Grease with Rosie. My first reaction to her was, "whose that woman with the annoying voice." Wouldn't be surprised if she has been replaced.

Zero rapport with her band leader...who has no personality.
If she's talented, fine, but dont keep trying to force her into banter she is clearly not comfortable with.
I'm fading on Rosie. Wanted to like this so much...oh well!

Doodle, I'm with you. I watched her behind the scenes show on Friday and was struck by how young her staff is. Could it be that their inexperience is part of the problem? I loved her original show and wonder why she hasn't been able to recapture that magic. There are also numerous negative comments (and that's being kind) about her show on the OWN Facebook page.

Anyone still watching? It seems they are starting to smooth things out. I like the new announcer, her and Rosie seem to click and have good chemistry on the camera.

To me, the show seems to getting better as it tries to juggle a daytime and late night format simultaneously. My main concern is now that it is a celebrity-guest driven show, how deep a pool of guests are they going to have as they hit the Chicago winter? Though I have to say, I enjoyed that kid Turtle's interview far more than Lisa Kudrow's "I'm going to exert as little energy and possible" debacle a couple of weeks ago.
Frankly though, I could listen to her just talk to the audience for an hour a day, it's my favorite part of the show.

I agree, it seems they are trying to find out if they want to be a daytime or primetime show. Personally I think her talking with guest easy and relaxing, almost as if we are easy dropping into a conversation. I heard rumors that they want to move Rosie to 4 after a "Christmas Break".

One other thing that is irking me is the show's director. I think Mr. Terry, so was just genius with Oprah's show, is still on a learning curve to keep up with someone as spontaneous and fast as Rosie.

I don't think its JUST Terry, I think it's alot of the original Oprah producers who from my understanding had the option to stay if they chose to, I'd assume that was part of the "deal". It seems that alot of these producers are use to the Oprah ways of everything being meticulous and planned and then Rosie who is just rolling with the punches.

Yeah, it's not just Terry, but it's the most obvious issue.
By the way, did anyone notice they've gotten rid of the curtain, and now Rosie comes through the split in the LED screen. I like it.

I did notice that, so atleast they are trying to fix the issues. I hope it does work out.

You can tell they are working on it. New entrance, better lighting, more interaction with the announcer instead of band leader, bigger guest, etc. I'm still watching and hope it continues to improve.

Bump. Anyone still watching? Thoughts on the new improvements?

Anyone see her Kathy Griffin interview? No audience, with a table in between them (think Larry King style). It really worked well. This is the type show she should have started with.
