Rosie O'Donnell has the ignorance to say that she thinks Honey Boo Boo "is like Shirley Temple"! That is an absolute INSULT to Shirley Temple. Honey Boo Boo is a loud mouth train wreck and is famous because of her hilarious stupidity just like Snookie.

The difference between Shirley Temple or any child performer for that matter is a child is sophisticated enough--especially under good family guidance--to know the difference between play--time reality and real reality. I wonder if Rosie would allow her own children to do such a thing.
From where I sit, this is a child with no free will whose reality has been so distorted by adults who are seeking financial stability through her, she doesn't know which end is up, socially. When a child's sexual reality is distorted by adults, we usually jail the offender for life. For this, we put them on television and make it look "normal".
I predict suicide before the age of 20. Maybe we can make a GAME out of it! Place your bets as to when this life will be ended! Do I hear 19? 19, anyone? 18? For the WIN...18?

I would believe this about Dakota Fanning before Shirley Temple. Shirley Temple could actually play a believable child. Fanning always had this strange adult beyond her years quality to every role she played.
