I couldn't disagree more about Chris' talent. I think he's amazing, but America will decide.
Has anyone noticed that with a bit of stage makeup, some new clothes and what looks like a bit of time at the gym, Taylor has suddenly gotten VERY attractive?

really KelRel, you've NEVER felt unwelcome here as a Christian? There have been several ocassions where I've felt ostracized as one of the few Christian's on this board. It's easy for people here to bash and mock Christians because they feel so abused by them...number one, that's hypocritical. Number two, you have to respect fellow board members; I couldn't go on a sports board and start gay-bashing just because I assume no one there is gay.
I'm all for people expressing their opinions and beliefs, but I and other board members deserve respect as Christians who belief what we will but have never 'gay-bashed', etc. It's like you are trying to drive away the one group of people who don't do all those things you accuse Christians of doing...this should be a chance to show Christians how loving you say you are, not showing them how hateful and bitter you can be.

Honestly...this ain't the Roman times. No one is gonna feed you to the lions. It absolutely kills me when Christians cry victim. Why? You are the overwhelming majority in this country. So you have to put up with a couple of people in the minority railing against the intolerant members of your community. Well...too bad. Comfort yourself with the fact that you get to run everything else. Except Hollywood. Everyone knows that Jews run Hollywood.
If you do not subscribe to the hateful, bigoted and unChristlike beliefs that we are discussing here, then you have nothing to worry about. Nothing to fear. We aren't talking about you.
But if you do...even a little bit, you're gonna get an earful (or eyeful, since you're reading type).

Well, first of all, Liberal Christians have never been attacked on BWW. It's the Religious Right that has been attacked. And it is definitely homophobia and anti-gay stances that have been attacked here. And rightfully so.
EDIT: Robbie said it better.

judy garland was a christian. i love christians, and if anyone should be showing compassion and understanding, it's christians-- because they claim that's their raison d'etre. that and turning the other cheek. i am a more or less hindu person which is kind of an umbrella term, so for detailing my beliefs i fall back on the gay agenda, which today consists of:
getting an adjustment at the chiropractor and then off to the escada sample sale, and turning the other chic.

Christian dogma is what you believe, not what you ARE.
Being gay is what you ARE, not what you believe.
That makes enough of a difference for me to feel just fine responding to the Christian right in an angry way.

"Then he began to teach them and said, 'Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer FOR ALL NATIONS? But you have turned it into a den of robbers!'"

Hehe, I'm just sort of scanning through this thread now, but it looks like one of our posters has been listening to Fox News' "it's a WAR on CHRISTIANS!" battlecry a bit too earnestly.

I actually don't. I love Stephen Colbert but he plays a character and, frankly, I find the charm of Jon Stewart wins out here.
but I've seen bits and pieces and I knew he was doing that.
I think secular humanists (or whatever we want to lump ourselves into; perhaps just "anyone who's not a white Christian") and talk about how Christianity, so long ago, waged war on pagan holidays and won out.
