Really, when you try to "homage" such a iconic number as Judy Garland's "Get Happy" you better remember your original source material and hit all the pops. That outfit was unattractive, the dance steps , for the most part, posturing. She hit her marks,I'll give her that and her voice, while unassuming, was not actually unpleasant.
So, when does she stunt cast in "Chicago"?

Jason and Brandon in the bottom two guys? REALLY? They both were great yesterday! I love Evan, but seriously, is America just not seeing how he doesn't compare? It was definitely not Jasons time to go. And the best two females, at least in my opinion, in the bottom two? COME ON.

However, I liked the opening number, the past numbers were fantastic to watch... Katie Holmes just strutted and lip synced. Nothing special.

It kind of upset me that Nigel said Janette going home "ruined the 100th episode for him". He has had an amazing five seasons, and saying that was just kind of poopy (to quote my mother) of him. I LOVED Janette, but I also love all the other girls so much, that I'm not going to lose sleep over her going home.

But how in the world does Evan keep advancing, and not even in the bottom 2?! He was no doubt the weakest guy last night, and in my opinion, the reason Janette went home....he kind of brought down a lot of the routines she was in causing the mixed reviews. I was definately shocked he went on, much less was safe immediately.

I wish that Janette would have gotten to dance the breast cancer number...since that is why Melissa stayed!

There is no way to jump up at least 2 places in this point of the game unless you get something that will really strike a chord like that number did.

I think it was to be expected that Jason was going to be in the bottom three...maybe not deserved. But Evan has built up a huge fan base...and probably got all the Philip supporters too when he got voted off.

I'm a big fan of all of the dancers! However, I didn't think Jeanette's solo was strong at all. None of her solos have been strong compared to the other girls. Evan has a big fan base because he is simply charming! He's not just doing trick after trick and showing how athletic he is. He's also showing very well choreographed solos and character! I like watching Evan dance more than Brandon. I also didn't think Jason's solo was as strong this week either. JMHO! I did not like Katie's number and was very disappointed in the lip syncing. I wish the show could have been longer to showcase some of the best dances/dancers from each season. I would have liked to have known what the dancers have been doing since the show. The montages were way too quick!

I like Evan...I think he seems like a sweetheart...but he is out of his league. He hasn't CONNECTED with any other dance style...he can do the steps, and do them REALLY well, but there is always something missing.

I'm going to throw this out there....does anyone think that the voting could be a bit racist? I'm simply thinking/wondering about the possibility. Is it the fact that he is the only caucasion left....is it possible that there are really THAT many bigots in the country? That watch dance shows?

Just me, thinking out loud.

I think it's Evan's charm getting him by, and he's getting a lot of the older population votes, so to speak, who are more familiar with his style of dance. If Melissa didn't have the breat cancer dance, I think she would have been gone. Janette really just didn't have dances this week that made me go "WOW!", but I don't blame her, I think it's the choreography. All the other girls had at least one amazing number, Melissa the breast cancer, Jeanine Battlefield, and Kayla's hip hop. At this point I think Jeanine is my favorite. She is incredible.

I don't think race has anything to do with it. A black man won last year and a bi-racial woman won the year before. I know many people on this board do not like Evan but as I said before- he is very charming! When you watch his solos, you can see that he is a good dancer. just sayin'

Do you think that the Melissa/Ade breast cancer routine would have had the same impact had Melissa not worn the scarf?

I actually don't.

Still any ways to raise awareness is A-Okay with me...but I'm just saying...

Shocker! Katie Holmes was a complete waste of air time. Evan's solos are my favorites. Of course, I'm part of the older generation who are more familiar with his style. His style for you younger generation-types, is called DANCING!

But one good thing about Melissa is that she is able to show us that ballet really is the basis for all good dance technique!

All except tap, which is the most difficult dance. That's why it is never featured in the competition.

For me- it wasn't the scarf. It was her emotion and the way she leaped into Ade with complete trust. The scarf did add to the piece but I really loved seeing how her ballet training enhanced the presentation. Although I do really like Melissa- her solos are very lack luster! I love Jeanine! She is an all-around dancer and she is not a waif! Time for bed!
