Why the HELL was Melissa in the bottom? Makes no kind of sense.
I need to stop drinking while I'm watching this show. I totally thought a) Randi was Caitlin's sister and b) she was pregant.
How did Melissa make it in the bottom two? Well there were only FIVE contestants so somebody worthy was going to end up there.
My big quesion is how did EVAN NOT end up there? THAT seems unfair. I think he's a really good dancer...but he is now a little out of his league.
Evan didn't end up there because of his fanbase, but I have a feeling he'll be there next week.
And Melissa was merely in the bottom because of the fact that there are only five amazingly talented girls left. But she'll probably end up going home next week.
Yeah, it's going to be difficult with the girls, and with Ade and Brandon. They're all so talented.
Unless Jason gets an amazing routine again next week, I predict that he'll be going home.
But they really are all amazingly talented at this point.
Not surprised to see Kupono (or Randi) go this week. Their dance was the weakest of the group, and Kupono's solo was the worst as well, in my opinion.
Very surprised to see Ade and Melissa in the bottom two last night.
I like everyone left, so next week will be sad no matter the outcome for me.
Yeah, this is the point in the show where it gets really hard, because they're all very very talented. I think for me Ade and Brandon are amazing and should be in the top two. I really like Jason, though and LOVED his routine with Janine this week. For the girls, though. I love them all...I hated seeing Randi go home this week. I really like her, but I realllllly like the other girls, too.
Kayla's so very talented and beautiful to watch.
I LOVE Melissa and actually think her age works well for her, because there's wisdom and experience in her dancing. Like the rhumba. It was sooooo hot, because she knows how to be a sensual woman. It would still probably be romantic or sexy with a younger contestant, but would it have been as HOT? I think not.
I think my two fav's are Janine and Janette. Holy mother. These girls are FIERCE! Janine has such strength and is so good at emoting and I just really really like her. And Janette popped out of nowhere. The girl has very little formal training and is a salsa dancer, but has been amazing at every single thing she's tried. That's true talent.
I'm not going to like seeing any of the girls leave from now on.
I agree, Melissa's age works for her. And one of the judges said something once that she probably couldn't do half the things she's doing now back at the age of 20. I thought that was very insightful.
I have a friend on another site who is a dancer/choreographer who thinks Kayla is the only one that will really get any work after the show.
I think either Kayla or Jeanette will get the title. It's definitely a girl year.
I think it is going to be between Brandon and Kayla/Janette.
Stock- Really? I don't agree with that. I liked Kherrigan last season, but she wasn't as strong as some of the others and she's working. I believe she's in the new Fame movie that's coming out and of course Adam Shankman is using several former contestants in his new Step Up moving.
I do think Kayla is probably having offers pour in already. But I can see several of them getting work from this.
I loved Jason's solo Wed night and found it to be one of his best. It was much more cohesive than the random bag of tricks most people desperately pull out and try to cram into an hollow number with any regard to the unification of music and movement. Ade's solo was a prime example of meaningless movement. It was exactly the sort of solo for which Jason was criticized as being desperate and overdanced. Jason created a character and story effectively utilizing the movement and music. While it wasn't as flashy as some of the tricks and acrobatics used by the other men, it was more about dance than most of any of the solos of the entire night.
Jeanine's solo was the one major standout for the women. It was the most complete and well-thought female solo. Janette's was so lazy and uninteresting, it was like she wanted us to completely forget that this is the girl who could rock any style thrown at her. Instead, she just gave us her one style, showcased it in a way that was haphazard and HUGELY disappointing. I didn't get that she spent any time thinking that one out. Randi thought out a great solo, but it lacked control. Melissa, Kayla and Brandon played it safe and danced well, if not anything really memorable. Evan gave the best solo for the men, but personally, I didn't think it was enough. His days are numbered. Kupono's solo was all quirk and no substance in either style, story, character or technique. Coupled with the embarrassing Paso Doble, it was clearly his time to go. Same for Randi, but I was hoping she would make it a little farther. Had they been given contemporary, they might have squeaked by another week.
And that number Travis choreographed was STUNNING. I was in tears. One of the best this season. Jason and Jeanine performed it beautifully. I had Jason pegged for F4 from the beginning and I hope he makes it. I also thought he was the best in the African number as well. He got it in a way that looked entirely convincing and authentic to me. Jason realy deserves to stay over Evan.

Jason didn't dance during his solo wednesday.
the only reason people are voting for him is because he's pretty.
Also, The final 2 will be Brandon and Jeanette.
With Jeanine in 3rd.
The reason so many people voted for Jason this week was due to the amazing routine he got assigned. Sure he's pretty, but that didn't happen all of a sudden. He's been pretty the whole time and usually ends up in the bottom.

I have to disagree. He created a character and danced a routine. He took a risk. I don't think that Ade or Brandon danced at all during their solos. They did a slew of frantic tricks in a 30 second period. Not what I call dancing.
BB- THANK YOU! I really didn't like Ade's solo at all. Either time we saw it. I love him and think he's incredibly talented, but in that moment I didn't feel like he was really dancing to the music. Like...it went with the rhythms but that song is a flowly and melodic song and he was sticatto and hard and just I didn't feel like there was any emotion there. It drove me crazy.
I loved Jason's solo. Agree...he created a character. I loved it. I also enjoyed watching Kupono's, although I do agree that it didn't have any content and was a stupid move on his part. And I was a bit disappointed with Melissa's solo. I felt like there was no woah in it. Ya know. Nothing that made me sit up and take notice. It was pretty...of course. But that's all.

You must have been watching the wrong channel. He certainly did.
the only reason people are voting for him is because he's pretty.
He is pretty, but as blondebaby pointed out, it has not kept him out of the bottom, so that blows that theory. He danced a brilliant solo, but his performance with Jeanine of the Travis Wall choreography won him enough votes, anyway. It was the best performance of the night.
luscious - You're exactly right. Ade's solo was far too frantic for the song. He only listened to the beat, but not to the melody, lyrics or phrasing. It was technically well-danced, but poorly choreographed without any regards to conceptualization. Only Jason, Evan and Jeanine truly brought out great solos. I can't even remember what Brandon did. It was some emo thing, right? Fist to the chest and peace-out or whatever.
Am I the only one that watched last night?
I thought the last three numbers were STUPENDOUS last night. Tyce's fighting breast cancer piece was simply beautiful. I'd never seen more people cry on this show before (myself included)
Thoughts?????

I watched the breast cancer piece about ten times last night and it still made me cry every time.
I'm glad to see they saved the best three pieces for the end of the show.
As for who's going home, Evan's time HAS to be up. As for the girls...I have no idea. I don't want any of them to go home!
I agreed with Nigel last night. I thought I was going nuts because the night was SOOOOO BORRRRRINGGGG until the last three numbers. That breast cancer piece was, simply put, stunning. It was just a beautiful piece that was about so much more than the movement and the technique and Melissa and Ade carried it beautifully.
Now, at first I thought it would be Ade going home for the boys. Then he did the Tyce routine. That saved him. So I think it will be Jeanine and Evan going home. It truly does suck that we have to see any of them go home because I love all of them (minus Brandon, who I just can't find a reason to love him; I think it's his weird smile).
Two more things: 1) Tyce just has to stop doing Broadway routines. He just has to stop. Someone has to stop him. 2) Who else is excited for the return of RAMALAMA?!?!?!
It's gonna be hard from now on with the girls. I LOVE Jeanine. Like seriously!! But the waltz wasn't that great. But they LOVED her second number with Brandon and the new choreographer. I'm so glad that they're bringing new people on!
For the guys, it'll be Evan. Or it should be. Not to say he's bad, cause I don't think he is. But compared to the other three, he's just not quite as good.
And how huge of a compliment for Jeanette to have Mia say she's her favorite this season. Ohhh and her solo...was smart! I think she's the first ballroom dancer to make her solo more than one-sided ballroom moves. She still had her style in there, but it felt more contemporary. She's smart! And it also shows that she's growing. LOVE that girl!
I really don't like Evan one bit, and believe he should have been gone a couple of weeks ago.
ColortheHours, I love Brandon (and his smile)!!
