Ok, so I had been out of town and finally got to watch the final episodes. I do think it really came down to the final solos. I have to say, though I found Brandon's solo to be very athletic, I was not impressed. It was far too desperate, frantic, unfocused and not very cohesive. His athleticism and technique were good, but his timing was off and it was just all over the place. Kayla danced well, but like Evan, didn't really wow the audiences or judges with anything they haven't seen before. Jeanine delivered what was probably the greatest solo the show has seen from any contestant and was my choice to win from the final four (though I thought Jason deserved Evan's spot). Jeanine's solos were always so well-choreographed and executed. She not only knew how to perform solos, she really overcame the biggest obstacles of the season, having been saddled with Phillip and that whole Russian folk dancing debacle. She took each performance in stride and rose above the challenge, her partners, and the material. She even overshadowed Brandon in the final Paso Doble. I didn't even notice Brandon was there during that performance.
