I am definitely not a Tyce fan when it comes to his personality on the judges panel and I am definitely not a fan of his (and I sarcastically put quotation marks)"Broadway" choreography. They always seem weak and amaturish. His jazz routines on the other hand I have enjoyed quite a bit.
I have always loves everything that Mandy Moore has choreographed.
I was completely fine with the two that were sent home last night. I don't think Tony should have even made it to the top 20 and there as far as his partner, Paris...I found her completely forgettable.
I looooved Mandy's routine. I may be in minority here but I can't stand Asuka. She seems to try way to hard to be sexy. I was hoping she'd leave first.
I agree Evie. I wish she went home over Paris.
Did anyone think last night was a little bland?
Yes, but my roomie and I really liked the contemporary number with Karla and the salsa dancer kid.
I think the problem with the Shane Sparks numbers was in the choreography and not the dancing and it sucks that it gets taken out on the dancers, but you know they're not gonna call out the choreographer.
I adored Jonathan last night. That entire routine was breathtaking. The only other two I truly enjoyed were the Jive and Disco.
And I hated Shane's choreography. He has concepts but then didn't execute them in the movements.
I thought for sure it was going to be Kaitlin and Kupono after the performance show. and after the solos i thought it was going tobe Kupono and Ashley. Max knocked Brian's choreography out of the park, there was no excuse for sending him home.
I agree. Of those three guys Kupono sure should have been out.
In all honesty, Max and Kayla should have never been in the bottom 3. Phillip and Jeannine should have been in the bottom three but they got a pass on Phillip's popularity.
Kaitlin needs to GO!! I find her a totally half-assed dancer, when she's doing non-solo stuff...she never completes her moves, and it's so irritating! I wasn't surprised they sent Ashley home - her solo was completely unmemorable.
I also wasn't really surprised they sent Max home - true, he shouldn't have been in the bottom based on the Wed. performances, but I find Kupono to be a more INTERESTING dancer, and that always seems to win out. (plus he's ADORABLE!)
Glad to see Ryan making it through to Vegas for 6! That was a treat!
Max should have stayed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His solo and his dance were great and better than Kupono.
Kupono's solo had some weird, laughable movement throughout most of it.
I think he stayed because of his personality and they think he might have more to give in his versility.
I still would have kept Max.
I just wonder who they wanted to vote off since they said that they didn't have who they wanted.
I do LOVE Asuka, but I think they wanted her in the bottom three even though they said they LOVED her waltz!
I think Kaitlin and Kupono should've been sent home last night. She's as boring as a wooden plank and he just wasn't good this week. Sending Max home was inexcusable. But, who knows! Maybe something will happen to one of the dancers and we'll get a repeat of Comfort last year. Only with Max! That would be exciting :)
I hated that any of those girls were in the bottom three. I was really coming to love Ashley and was very sad to see her go and I really like Kaitlin. Kayla's fierce and shoul never have been there in the first place. Their routine was fantastic, but like Nigel said maybe voters didn't get it. I feel bad for Max, because all he really ever heard was Kayla you're amazing...ohhh Max were you on stage? Oh that's right...yeah you did ok. Based on the solos Kupono should have gone home.
I totally forgot about this show this week.
Other than the jive, it was a fairly forgettable show.
Well, then I'm not sad that I missed it!
Did the costumers HAVE to put Evan in that baggy baggy outfit?! I couldn't see his lines at all! But that was really fantastic. Randi is spectacular.
OMG, that dance with Evan and Randi was AMAZING. This and the hip hop routine (with Brandon) and the dance with the 29 year old woman that I forgot the name of. Those were the best so far.
I agree. I also enjoyed the Viennese Waltz. Kayla is just so beautiful.
Oh yeah, I forgot about this one. The first couple were complete DUDS but they got A LOT better
It's a shame Karla and Jonathan did so poorly because their contemporary routine last week was amazing.
I don't watch often, but WHAT is with that middle judge? I want to punch her in the face. The screeching.
It's her shtick! It's annoying, yes...ESPECIALLY since every years it gets worse and worse.
Is it just me or is Toni Basil a HORRIBLE judge? And next is a Tyce "Broadway" (and I use that term very loosely) routine which I ALWAYS hate.
Mary Murphy is definitely an aquired taste.
I thought tonight's episode stared off very weak with the first two dances, but then picked up a lot of speed. My favorite dances were (somewhat in this order) were Melissa & Ade Rumba, Randi & Evan Contemporary, Jeanette & Brandon Hip Hop, and Kayla & Kupono Waltz.
I hate anything Broadway Tyce has ever done, and tonight was no exception. While I love Jeanine, Phillip has shown no skill in any other area but Hip Hop. They deserve to be in the bottom 3, but as was the story with last week, I would not be surprised if they aren't because of Phillip's popularity.
And yes, Toni is a horrible judge. All she does is talk about the Choreographers and how she knows them all from the past and blah blah blah. She couldn't even critique the "street" dances, and that's what she is none for. No more Toni, please.
No more Tyce, please!!!!
I can admit that this year has the overall best dancers, but thus far, it is my least favorite season. I'm finding it, mostly dull.
