Post your most controversial thoughts here. Why not?
I think that the human race as a whole, are predominantly ignorant fools. Myself included, most likely.

I think that...I think that...(man, anything I could say is controversial here)
I think that liberals, if anything, are hurting the subject of race. And I really hate that. I really hate it. It just sickens me, how I read this politically correct crap that they do, and how people of color are supposed to get special treatment. If you are a minority, the far left Democratic party is treating you as if you have a handicap. And that's just sad.
And there is my thought.
I think that men who choose to wear sandals and knee socks have no business leaving their houses.

Damn! I wrote something and it got lost in a computer glitch and didn't get posted. LG pretty well illustrated part of it though, totally unintentionally, I'm sure.
Just a few words:
selfish, self-centered, egocentric, compassion, empathy, identification
Brava for boldly stepping out of the line.
I personally have felt the reverse discrimination inherent in Affirmative Action. We're all equals in this day and age. Well maybe not in Arkansas... but for the most part. At least we should be. No quota or policy will change people's minds.
I think everyone should be required to have their IQ tatooed onto their forehead. That way, when you call them an idiot and they deny it, you can say "Yes you are! It's written right there on your forehead!".
Okay, I'm not serious. I can only imagine what my IQ would be.
I think that the U.S.A., because of Republicans and some Democrats, is slightly becoming more and more miltaristic in nature and is slowly beginning to resemble some of the more facisist and controlling nations in world history. If it keeps going the way it has been we might have to change "the land of the free," for our freedoms are dwindling. Very, very slowly, but surely.

Especially if the socks are black!

Religion is for the willfully ignorant.

Matt_G deserves a round of applause for THAT one.
The bible is nothing but a bunch of fairie tales and those who live by it might as well live their lives according to Grisham's latest novel.
Religion is for the willfully ignorant.
ALL religions? Or just the big established ones? Do you believe in a deity?

ckeaton, there is a difference between religion, which is organized and hence political (and therefore generally corrupted) and spirituality, which is personal. One can believe in a deity and not believe in any religion at all.
If you believe that minorities don't need "special treatment" (and I'm not sure what you mean by that since you didn't expand on it) then you must buy the myth that everyone in this country has an equal shot at making it. And if you believe that myth, my guess is that you've never spent any time in a poor neighborhood.
I believe the use of cell phones is ruining the nation (you think I'm kidding, I bet)...I believe that they should be banned or at the very least, licensed. And only Doctors and people in emergencey(meaning life threatening) related fields should be allowed to carry and use them.
Stupid people should be shot.
And I get to be judge.
And executioner.
Oh, my dear Redhot. I gave up my cell phone about 4 months ago and I've never felt so free. Sure there are times when I wish I had it on me, but there's always a payphone close by or a business where I can use it.
It changed my life!

I don't link deism with the construct of manmade religion.
For myself, I wouldn't call myself a deist, but I wouldn't say I deny the possibility.
The current faux-70s fashion trend is the result of designers placing bets to see who could get the public to buy the ugliest clothes (and hairstyles) possible. They are sitting back, counting their money, and laughing their butts off.
Did you ever watch Three's Company? It's funny, but that is the REAL 70s.

I think only veterans should be allowed to vote.
That's funny. I think only New Yorkers should be allowed to vote.

Only women. Testosterone is a poison that affects one's ability to think clearly.

Only one answer. Women Veterans from NY.
Imagine the electoral college at work when the 57 of them cast their votes.
