Robert won the night for me. And it was so convenient for Kent to have the last dance of the night, choreographed by Travis. Still, it was a great routine.

Adechike is just out of his league. Though, I don't think his second performance was his fault. When I heard Desmond was choreography I thought "Wow, this is going to be breathtaking" and it was by far the worst routine of the night. They gave him nothing. Disappointed.

Still, the producers once again showed that they really want Adechike in the finale. His package was the best of the four. Had me in tears. He'll probably get a ton of votes for that.

JP, Adechike's video profile had me in tears, too. I found both his numbers though oddly similar. The piece choreographed by Desmond Richardson did absolutely nothing for me. I was actually kind of bored.

Adechicke certainly went out with a boatload of class behind him. I was pretty impressed with that. What great character!

Kent with Neil was SOOO manufactured, but it paid off. Neil is my favorite SYTYCD dancer of all time.(and what great Kudos for Travis.)

Looking forward to the finale; but good lord -- please keep Tyce Diorio FAR away!!!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I love the top three. I'm thrilled Robert is still in it. I have really had fun with this weird, contoversial, season. I don't know why. It's been very entertaining.

Adechike is a class act all the way. I'll admit he was my favorite of the remaining dancers, but his last two routines weren't all that great. I actually blame the choreographers more than his execution of it though. I think he's a beautiful dancer.

I just don't like Kent for some reason. Never have, never will.

Yeah, I also blame the choreographers. I think Adechike is brilliant in his solos, but I've never quite been impressed with his partnered routines. But they definitely gave him beans to work with on Wednesday night. Meanwhile Kent's final dance, while utterly gorgeous, was just soooooo forced. Notice that they didn't show anyone picking there dances out of the hat this week?

I'm so happy Robert is in the final three. He has no chance of winning, but I'm gonna vote my ass of next week anyway. I liked Kent in the beginning, but I have a major turn off for people telling me who my favorite is/Who I'm supposed to like. And that's pretty much all they do with Kent every week.

Now I see it differently. They gave Adechike his idol to work with, and then the best heartwarming video package.
Then they gave Robert ballroom. So it looked to me like they were giving Adechike the advantage.. But it was Robert who knocked it out of the park.

clever name, they may have given Adechike his idol to work with, but the choreography really didn't do much to showcase his talents. Adechike has such a beautiful line and extension, yet the choregraphy just didn't suit him. I will admit that video package was a killer. I was in tears as soon as it started! LOL

I think on paper you are absolutely right. They gave him his idol, and they gave him the best video package that night. But, unfortunately his idol gave him an uninspired routine. And it's not just the choreography. The lighting and music just didn't gel together either.

I wonder if his tears had anything to do with the results. Years ago, crying on a talent competition was met with a surge in voting. Recently, I've noticed, anytime a contestant on any reality competition cries, they get eliminated the next day. I think its because so many people started using tears as an advantage, and audiences weren't falling for it anymore. Even when the tears are genuine, its still becoming a kiss of death.

JP2, funny you should mention Adechike's tears. Although he was my favorite, this was the first season I didn't pick up the phone (tears or no tears). His tears last night came off as genuine to me.

As much as I harped about the judges being over critical of Adechike throughout the season, in retrospect they really fought for him by giving him a few second chances (early episodes before top 11 were picked). It's obvious that they saw his potential.

I'm so bored by the opening numbers. Choreographer's today have no clue how to pace a dance number. There is no build to a great finish. It's all one note. That opening number was one of the worst (best) examples of this. It started at one level and ended on the exact same level. I have no preference for who wins. They're all fine dancers.

I was rewatching some of the opening numbers from the second season (I think, the season with Benji and Travis), and those opening numbers were memorable. Much less so this year.

My favorite dancer of this season was Alex, I loved his hip hop routine with Twitch. I think it's sort of his signature piece now, and I kind of hate the idea that they will be doing it with a different dancer.

He doesn't own it...and since he never actually performed it publically it isnt' really his "signature". I DO wish we could have seen him dance it though.
