Is anyone bothered when Nigel tells Kent that he has outdanced his partner for the past 2 weeks? I've never been bothered when that comment was made when 2 competitors were dancing together. But it made me cringe last week when Nigel said that about Neal, even if true. That baseball number was great and I thought it unnecessary to diminish Neal. But maybe I'm being too sensitive, LOL.

The more I see him dance, the more I'm amazed that Jose even made the top 11.

I totally agree, Dottie. Jose is terrible. Even in his own style he is not that skilled. The fact that the choreographers are dumbing down the choreography, or like last week in the group number, just flat out keeping him out of it to hide his weaknesses is insulting to all the other dancers in the competition as well as anyone of the more capable dancers who made it to the finals in Vegas that he took a spot from.
Since Billy didn't dance this week it is almost certain that they will cut him in favor of keeping Jose and I think that is a tragedy.
I think the bottom 3 tonight will be Billy, Jose and AdeChike...with Billy ultimately getting the shaft.

Billy tapping his foot to the music in the audience was better than Jose's sitting on a stage. Are you KIDDING me with that number?

I missed the very begining of the show, but it didn't sound like Billy's injury was serious -- but could anyone add details?
I think that Nigel mentioning he "outdanced" his All Star partner is simply meant as a wonderful accolade -- putting him in their "class" of dancer.
This has been one of my least favorite seasons of all time.

Billy injured his knee during one of his rehearsals. He was examed by the shows doctor who told him that he could dance if he felt he could. Billy felt that he could not and decided to air on the side of caution and sit out last night. He is smart to listen to his body. Minor injuries can become serious if not given the proper rest.

As long as Jose is IN the bottom three...I think the judges will send him home. (I hope, anyway.)
I thought Adechicke (sorry about spelling!) first number was really wonderful and I think he would have fared MUCH better in the 2nd with a better partner.

I more or less lost interest in this season once Alex's injury forced him to withdraw from the show. And the babbling by the judges is a real turnoff, too. And can someone please tell the frickin' fangirls in the studio audience to STFU with their constant screaming.

Lauren and Kent are the final two without a doubt. and i think they would have been with Alex still in too. (i still love Billy though)
I loved Lauren and Twitch last night but when Adam keeps saying "who are you?" i want to slap him. she is the same person in Vegas and a few weeks ago, she just wasn't given something to show it. They did nothing but PRAISE Robert last night...now they claim that he's not GROWING? What a bunch of crap and back pedaling.
I can KIND OF see their point about Billy - since it was up to him...but still kind of crappy.
But that's the most they can say about JOSE? That HE'S not growing except in his own genre??? Good lord.

I was expecting them to do this at some point. with two dancers out, the season would be almost over so they need to fill another episode and it was for ratings.
i didn't get the judges about Robert either, although Nigel said it was two of them. which two? non sensical.
also, didn't Billy get kudos for knowing his body and being smart not to dance...then kablam...not.
ugh! this is a train wreck. i know robert is great but i totally forget about him and there has to be a big fan base for adechike out there.
when do the judges stop choosing? i still think they had a top 10 so they could cherry pick as many as possible, when there were 20 they had to let the audience choose sooner.

Let's see, so 2 weeks in a row Jose doesn't dance in the opening number. Did they rename the show to, "So You Think You Can Dance, But Jose Doesn't Have To"?

They are right on schedule with HOW many dancers there are...it doesnt' affect the run of the season at all.
Each injury simply BECAME the booted dancer. And next week TWO of the will be kicked off. (Jose better be one of them!!!)
I can't really remember but: I thought the public only chose the ACTUAL winner...not any cuts before that (except to determine the bottom.)

I understood the Jose thing in the beginning. He picked up other styles quickly and performed them rather well for a B-boy, so it was very encouraging and they always want a diverse cast of dancers from various styles. But he hasn't grown at all during the course of the competition. He should have been gone by the second week.
I will say one thing in his defense, however. That Mr. Cellophane number really wasn't entirely his fault. Conceptually, it was a train wreck. The song is a non-dancing solo. Turning it into a dancing duet made absolutely no sense in context with the show. Having her be a showgirl who ignores him removes the contact and chemistry required for partner dancing. It was a total waste of choreography and Courtney's presence was nothing but feathery filler. Even if danced flawlessly, it still would have been a completely flat routine. I'm disappointed the judges didn't call the choreographer out on that. It was one of the worst routines the show has seen. The Russian folk dancing was more interesting than that piece of crap.
It appears to be Kent's season to lose at this point. And that is ok, if anticlimactic. I'd be fine with Robert, Lauren or Kent winning, but Robert is still my favorite. And I think Lauren is spectacular. That cowboy hip-hop routine was genius and she totally stole the spotlight from Twitch.
I'm sort of glad I didn't have to watch Billy do the step routine. Watching Kent and Twitch together was a blast.

Clearly they wanted to keep Billy last night, which wouldve seemed odd since he didnt dance, so it was the easy way out for them. (LOVED Kat's response..."We just make up rules as we go along, eh?") I wager Billy and Jose go next week.

Yes -- Alex had surgery last week to re-attach some muscles or ligaments to his heel. A full recovery is expected.
Doodle -- they were within their right to keep Billy even though he didn't dance. They have stated that a ONE WEEK injury would not disqualify anyone...only if they wouldn't be able to compete for two weeks, which is what happened to both of the previous injured dancers.
