I wouldn't be surprised they went out of business due to sales. No offense Jordan, but their bar staff is notoriously awful and their door people and promotions are scams. We used to love that place, but it's really gone downhill. Check out the Yelp reviews if you don't believe me.

Why would I take offense? My friends there gave me and all my friends free drinks all the time. Of course the staff is awful LOL. :)

I also read some of them, but I( learned you can't always accurately draw conclusions from them. They ask for money to put good reviews first and if they don't get it, the ba reviews are used first with very few good ones.

This sucks, I loved going there every time I visited NY, lots of craziness has happened there. I'll miss it.

If it's not a bank, I'm guessing it'll be a Super Dunkin Donuts.

They opened a Dunkin Donuts on my street and have a big sign up proclaiming it NYC's 500th D&D. I just shook my head and shed a tear.

After reading their reviews on Yelp it sounds like the doormen got even worse over the years. I brought a lesbian friend of mine visiting from California in 1995 to Splash. The doorman gave her such a hard time, was rude, etc. (all apparent that they didn't want women in the place). When I realized what was going on, I grabbed her hand, turned around and left. And never set foot in the place ever again.
