Remember when Tootie went effing insane over Jermaine Jackson? Like Maile Hernandez obsessed. With Jermaine Jackson.
I remember the "Natalie gets raped" episode from FACTS. Mindy was my favorite. She was so adorable. She still is.
I remember the Jermaine Jackson episode! I had no idea who he was. Then he opened his mouth and I knew he must be related to Michael.
Mindy rocks. I loved her back then and I love her now. I always wanted to hang out with her. Not in a creepy stalkerish way, but just because I think she'd be so much fun to be around.

She also seems to keep it all in perspective. Every time I see her talk about the show she manages to laugh at herself and remember it fondly at the same time.
Didn't Natalie wear blackface once? Or am I confusing her with Joey Lawrence on Gimme A Break?
OH...and there's some indie coming out about a chubby, middleaged fag hag who is finally realizing that having only gay friends is keeping her from finding a man. And it's starring...MINDY COHEN!
The trailer actually looked kinda funny.

That was Joey (at Samantha's suggestion)
Natalie and Tootie had a brief period of tension when Tootie didn't like that Natalie wanted to go out with her (Tootie's) cousin.
And don't forget when Tootie stole the role of Nellie Forbush from Natalie...and Natalie rolled coconuts to avenge.
Remembering the Nick At Nite marathons (though I may have seen one Cloris episode), I am pretty convinced it was written for Tootie to be obsessed with Michael Jackson but they had to settle with Jermaine.
I am sure I was Molly Parker/Natalie hybrid but count me in as a Mindy fan (as well as Jo/Nancy fan).
Didn't Tootie scult a Jermaine Jackson bust that looked suspiciously like the Lionel Richie bust that blind girl made in the HELLO video?

And it got banged up when she got backstage! And then her heart was broken when she didn't realize that she wasn't really "his number one fan." He didn't even know who she was! It was his manager that gave her the free tickets!
Did it get banged up? Or was it torn apart because they thought it was a bomb?
Someone bombing Jermaine Jackson. That's how you know it's fiction.

I think you are right.
Not to get off the subject (Facts of Life), but this made me laugh.

I love when Tootie auditioned for a Broadway show with Stacey Q!
I love how this turned into a Facts Of Life thread!
A few days ago with all of the "Remember when _____ lost the Tony to ____" threads were going around I wanted to start a "Remember when Natalie lost her virginity to ________" thread, but I couldn't remember who she gave it up to...

Natalie lost her virginity to Snake, aka Mike Damone from FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH!
Whenever I can't recall an episode of Facts of Life, I just put on my baseball cap with the lightning bolts on the side.
Remember when Tootie played Eleanor Roosevelt?
We need to open an Edna's Edibles. If for no other reason than for blueroses to start her own pizza business on the side.

But if it burns down, under no circumstances are we to open Over Our Heads - not for all the Oingo Boingo LPs in the world!
I went to the first screening near me today. I admit that the show is my favorite tv show of all time. I also love it. I don't like it I loved it. I saw the movie today and while I was not crazy about most of the film out of NYC I did love the film.
If you are a fan of the show and the first movie you will have a great time. There are some very moving and moments that made me cry especially with Miranda and Charlotte and Stamford's storyline. I was moved to tears many times and I can't wait to own this film.
I have interviewed a few cast members of the movie: Norm Lewis and Lynn Cohen. Lynn is a friend but her part is very short.
If you did not watch the series this film is a miss. If you know all the episodes and love the series you will have a good time. I wish they would make SEX AND THE CITY 2 the series.
There are some very tender moments and Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda are my favorites.
Um, wrong thread Corine. This is the Facts of Life thread.
And why is Carrie not one of your favorites? I totally see you as the Carrie of your group. Kate Monster would be Miranda. I love that idea. I don't like it i love it. They should make Corine in the City.
You married a Jew and adopted little Korean babies who drive you crazy and have a braless Irish nanny who you think is going to sleep with your husband so instead of firing her you go around the world and mope for a week?

Corine, I can see that...you're both very pretty and have fab, shiny dark hair. And Charlotte did convert to Judaism.
Matt, aww. I loved that baseball cap! Was "Over Our Heads" Beverly's business? I forget. I didn't really like the Bev years.
If the Facts of Life girls were being cast in the SATC movie, who would they be? I guess Jo would be Miranda.
No. Some of Charlotte is like me. She is a terrier person. She loves babies. She was in sales. She is a good person. I am my own person but we do have the most in common. I have always wanted to get married and have a baby, sadly it has not happened. I relate to Charlotte and love her style. She is a classic. I wish I had her gorgeous figure so I could wear her gorgeous clothes.
I hate Carrie's style. She is self centered and annoying. She can also be mean. The other women are more interesting to me.
Samantha is hilarious, love her but am nothing like her. Miranda is very smart but can be as cold as ice.
