I just remembered another unpopular opinion I have:
Marriage should not be one's main goal in life. It's OK to never get married and people who never do are not losers who just couldn't find anybody.
Good for you, OS.
I consider it my gift to humanity to save people who might be falling into the idea that journalism makes a great career. Then you'd end up like me, three years shy of 30 and still looking to go back to school for yet another degree to get out of the field.
It says something that every reporter I've ever worked with says vehemently that his/her children will NOT grow up to be journalists.
Or like me, 5 years into college, looking at another year and a half because you made the mistake of thinking journalism would be a great career and finally saw the light a year and a half from your original graduation date.
It sounds like you don't like many people at all, ZONE. The whore/crackwhore comments are certainly not out of place on this thread, but it seems like you have more than your fair share of bile in your system. But alot of your views are shared by the righters you decry, I'm just sayin'...
Why do you hate gays so much? I'm not saying you're not within your rights or that you're even wrong, I'm just curious as to why.
As for abortion, I don't really care, nor should anyone else. And just for the record, none of the girls I know that have had abortions have ever been on public assistance. They all came from fairly affluent, white families. But that's just my experience.
I think some opinions are clearly about ourselves well more than it is actually about the target of our opinion...
zing...I knew you were the right person to have that John Blair card, jerby.
Good one, SorryGrateful. It reminds me of something Lisa Simpson said about Malibu Stacy: "Girls are going to grow up thinking this is how they have to live: Look pretty, have a rich husband, and spend all day on the phone with their equally vacuous friends talking about how damn terrific it is to look pretty and have a rich husband!!"
Speaking of dolls: There is nothing wrong with Barbie. Just because she looks nothing like a real woman is no reason to ban her. I grew up with Barbies, knowing damn well that nobody could ever look like that, and I don't have an eating disorder or a plastic-surgery addiction or a complex now.
I did too, Rose...maybe that's what made me gay...er...
I had ninja turtles. Fortunately, I never wanted to grow up to look like them.
Although I remember the April O'Neil, er, "action figure" was a little shapely -- and very hard to find.
What the hell?? ANOTHER title change??
I'm actually sitting here in the middle of the office laughing like a loon.
That's funny sh!te.

On occasion, I must simply sit back and laugh - like right now.
*chortles merrily with DG*
That Foster sure knows how to make a dull workday interesting
Ninja turtles make anyone smile.
Except Shredder.
This thread change makes me feel just dandy.
