Coach really grosses me out.
If he wasn't such a hypocrite and act so morally superior, Coach would be a lot of fun to watch. His self-delusion might be so much as that he will have no idea how much of a pathetic douchebag he appears to be to the rest of the world. He'd probably even come back if he were invited to another All-Stars episode (and if Probst has anything to do with it, it'll happen).
If Stephen wants to win this, they must eliminate Coach and Debbie, but J.T. will make that extremely difficult for them. And Erinn is definitely going to be a wild card who could sneak her way into the final 2 (or 3). The funny thing about the "aw shucks" J.T. persona is that it is exactly the same strategy Stephen used. Stephen exploited his lovable dork personality to gain the trust of Taj and others much like J.T. did. The only real difference is that J.T. is a slightly more physical threat and he has a Southern accent. But they both charmed their way through the game and made some good strategical moves. But J.T. has the edge by playing both sides and hiding it well. During that reward challenge, everyone voted J.T. as the one they would trust with their life. That should have been a HUGE red flag to anyone who really wants to win this game. If Stephen could have rallied Sierra and Desperate Debbie after Coach won immunity, he probably could have even ousted J.T., gaining an even greater position for the moment. But he's wise to keep J.T. around at least to F4 and then target him as the most likely to win jury votes and then get him out.
What makes Survivor so much fun is the complexity of the social game, starting with tribes and merging into individual competition, coupled with the physical challenge of the environment and the challenges themselves. It is a really tough game.
Well, at least they made a smart move last night. I wonder if Coach figured out yet that his companion in moral integrity and honesty turned on him. The auction was pretty great to watch. Not as much fun as the infamous Sugar Cookie auction, but very sweet to see everyone come together like that. But now I'm starting to wonder if Stephen and JT are planning to take Coach to F3 so they can take him to F2 should either of them win final immunity. I can't imagine anyone voting for Coach other than simply out of spite for whomever would be sitting by his side during the final tribal council. And when is Erinn going to make this spectacular move she's been promising? Did I miss it? I sort of want Taj to win immunity at F4 just to see how a Stephen/Taj/JT F3 would play out. It could get messy.
I didn't realize Taj was married to that football dude.......
My guess is, based on the editing, that we will not be seeing a JT/Stephen Final 2. There's been way too much talk about that as if it's a sure thing, and the producers always like to save a few surprises for the end. Most likely, the final immunity win will go to whichever third person they've brought along (my guess is Taj).

I thought it was kind of sad that Coach's visitor was his assistant coach.

I find it difficult to muster any compassion for Coach.
Calvin - You may be right. But if either Stephen or JT make it to F2 without the other, I can't imagine Coach, Erinn, or Taj having a shot at winning. The biggest upset would be F2 without Stephen or JT. But then, nobody would really care. It would just be a Vecepia/Neleh rerun.

Yeah, I don't feel any sympathy for him either, but usually you think that EVERYONE has someone out there who loves them.
These people are dumb. If Sierra was just a heinous wildebeest, it might not have been a bad idea to try and take her to the end, since clearly not a soul would throw a vote her way.

Precisely. Plus, she was pretty easily manipulated. Her animosity towards Coach and Debbie worked so well towards Stephen and JT's advantage. They were silly not to exploit it, though it sounded like JT had ulterior motives. Unless it was the edit, his excuse for getting rid of Sierra was tenuous, at best.

I, too, thought it was sad/pathetic that coach had no one other than his assistant coach to be his "family member". What was even sadder/more pathetic is when he was talking to the schmuck , telling him that everyone calles him the dragonslayer. Umm... isn't it HE who calls himself that?? Poor pathetic delusional soul.
Loved loved loved when Jeff joked with (at?) Coach during Tribal: "Lemme guess, some chief of a small tribe..." in regards to his Dragonsla-- ugh I can't even TYPE it I hate it so much.
PS: Cried like a blubbering baby during much of the first-half of the episode.

TAJ: "Any 46 year-old man who calls himself the Dragonslayer belongs in a mental institution. When he's voted out at tribal council, he'll be free. They can take him home."
THE BEST!!!
Her eye-rolls are PRICELESS in this episode.
My gawd, PLEASE let this be Coach's last-hurrah (15 more minutes)
FINALLY!!!
Agreed!
Now that that was taken care of, and we've got really solid and good players in the Final 4...
Who are y'all rooting for?
J.T. and Stephen are my tie for first
Followed by Erinn (because she flew under the radar)
And Taj (who I absolutely ADORE but she's already got plenty of money)

Taj and Stephen have been my faves since day one. Taj is my number 1 though (most because my weakness for sassy black women is only marginally more substantial than my weakness for adorable jews). Unfortunately i think the only way taj wins is if erinn is in the final 2 with her and that's not going to happen. I forsee a JT victory, with Stephen or JT winning fan favorite.
ps
how come it took them so ****ing long to get rid of that douchebag. He was like the Gary Busey of survivor with his damn sayings. they were NONSENSE.

I laughed out loud at that. I think for me adorable jews get the slight edge.
All of them deserve to be there. I don't get why even the JT and Stephen are always so quick to slam Erinn, though. I get that we don't see everything, but I don't understand what the problem is with her.

I want Taj to win, mostly because she reminds me of Cyrie, one of my favorite people to ever play this game. But, if JT gets anywhere near the finals, it's all over. He'll clean up in jury votes, and we could very easily have another unanimous winner.
If any of the other 3 want a chance at winning, they'll make sure to eliminate him as soon as they can.

Here we go!
CBS blew it big time with their in-show promo that absolutely killed any suspense in that last challenge.
When they showed Erinn trying to turn JT against Stephen in the "coming up" after Taj was voted out, and that scene hadn't happened before the immunity challenge, it was clear JT had won because there would be no reason for that conversation to have taken place otherwise.
I have a nasty feeling aw shucks boy is going to win and I'm going to lose my dinner.
Wow! A blow-out!
Puke. Though Stephen was no better.
Agree.
The reunion should be interesting...
Coach wasn't looking too bad tonight.
