I'm guessing they are, because Costas et. all have said repeatedly his most difficult events were the first two he won. I agree, however, that with a relay, there are a lot variables beyond Phelps' control.

WTF? The score they just gave Nastia Liukin on vault is a total slap in the face! For WHAT did they deduct??? That was the most perfect routine we've yet seen!


EDIT: Okay now I'm REALLY pissed after they just showed the replay (while Bela was commentating with Bob). Nastia just gave the BEST VAULT of the entire Games!!! May have just cost her placement unless she aces the bars.



AAAWWWWW.... I think Nastia and Shawn are so cute! And they're reportedly roommates in the Olympic Village. Wake-up every morning "OMG! Gurl we in the 'lympix!"

Could I just say a 'well done' to your Natalie Coghlin? I think that 100 Free was her tenth Olympic medal over her distinguished career. She may not have been in her best form this year. But, as she nears the end of the road, you should be very proud of your swimmer.

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! That CHN girl Yang Yilin totally just got a 16.725 on the Uneven Bars for doing an identical routine as USA Nastia Liukin. Both of them took a big step on the landing but have an almost 2-point difference on the apparatus!!!
