Posted: 6/7/06 at 12:07pmI've just started Weight Watchers, a couple of weeks ago. I am doing the "core plan". After almost 2 years of being smoke-free, I've packed on a few extra pounds. This core plan is very easy for me, so far. I lost 8 pounds in my first week and 4, the second. I'm in my third week now. Never, ever hungry. I eat all day, really.

Starting to get back on track, ran three miles this morning, will be strength training this afternoon.
The eating plan got back on track last week, and I dropped 2 pounds so I was happy about that.
Slowly but surely, things are getting there.

Posted: 6/19/06 at 1:11pmI just re-joined Weight Watchers. I haven't been OP in 2 years and I've gained it all back. I feel it's time. I'm disgusted with the way I feel (and look) and I'm ready for another go. I can't do it by myself, so I joined this morning. I'm planning on going to my first meeting tonight.

Congrats, bunnywings!
I started a diet/lifetsyle change again. Nothing like a 1600 calorie a day diet to make life fun!
But I'm actually okay with it. It feels different than it has before...like it's not AS limiting.
Though I do plan on enjoying my birthday next week by indulging.

Remember it's not about limiting! It's about controlling!
We're here for support!
(go shira!)
What's the good word, Patronus, catie, and colleen? And all others?
Edite for spelling errors...

i'm going through a phase where the scale makes me sad but the mirror (and compliments) makes me happy.
so I guess I am putting on muscle weight. but I feel like I don't have a quantifiable way to assess progress. and I know I still have fat to lose. hmmmm.

Posted: 6/19/06 at 1:54pmwhich is why weight is always such a subjective measurement, as muscle weighs too! Keep at it, jerby!

I am doing not well, not well at all.
I binged 3 days in a row. It was not good.
I am still really struggling with getting an exercise routine worked out. I've switched from working evening shifts to working morning shifts (very EARLY mornings), and I come home from work and just totally crash. When I was working evenings I just worked out in the mornings before I had totally exhausted myself.
I am having a hell of a time getting going. Blaaaaaah.

It works if you stick with it and follow the guidelines.
There are 38 pages of discussion here that contain tips, hints and personal stories - I suggest checking those out.
I've been getting back on track lately. I supect that Wednesday will show a loss.
BTW, I meant to mention that Applebees has a very nice Weight Watchers menu. I had dinner there on a whim this past Saturday night and there was a Steak and Shrimp Skewer with vegetables and rice. Very good and it was only 7 points.

NO SHAME!
There will always be what feel like setbacks. But don't let them get you down. You just have to be driven more forward then!

w00, back on the losing track!
Like Jerby said, it isn't falling off as quickly as it was at one point, but I am noticing lots of changes in my body that make me happy.

It doesn't come off as quick as you're reaching that plateau of sorts. But it doesn't mean that you're still not losing. Muscle weighs too! And the body reapportions itself redistributing certain items...
Keep the good work up and the pounds coming off!

You go, Patronus. Frankly, as much as I like Mr. Rickman, we need that hot avatar of the real Patronus back.

Ask an ye shall receive. (Offer does not apply on all request)
Of course, I don't really have a "hot avatar" of me, but this is the closest I could find.
