Starting Weight: 173
Last week: 168
Today's Weight: 165
3 pounds, bitches! And I get to start my exercise this week
I think I'm going to start taking jazz and ballet lessons. I want to audition for the Disney Cruise Line when I'm at my target weight and this is a great way to get my skills up to snuff and put in some good exercise time. Of course, this will all depend on cost.
I would use my stationary bike and weight machines, but the basement is still flooded. I guess I'll just do laps until it's back to normal.

Holy monkeys Kitz!!!!
I definitely recommend the dance classes. My classes are totally the highlight of my week. I've been lucky to find a studio that focuses only on adults, primarily professionals though they have some beginner classes. They have a workstudy program, so I work their front desk one day a week for four hours and then get four free hours of class a week. It's an awesome program.

Posted: 6/29/06 at 11:17pmcolleen, I'm in a similar program, for musical theater performers in NYC. I had to audition, and you work three hours a week at the desk, and must take at least five hours of class. You are encouraged to take more! I love it. And I'm a complete novice. But thrilled to find exercise that I enjoy!

Meanwhile, it appears you're slacking in the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? department. What gives, Rath?
I think everyone who weighs-in at Weight Watchers should use a Sunday weigh-in. Since Saturday is the easiest night to slip, a Sunday weigh-in really keeps you "honest" on Saturdays.
The skinniest I ever was in my life, was during a production of DAMES AT SEA. All that tap!

Sorry, JB, but I work the desk on Wednesday nights now, so I can't see the performance episodes. And I usually take two classes on Thursday evenings, so I can't see the results show either.
I'm definitely re-gaining though - but that's because I wasn't working and couldn't afford to eat "right." That has changed, so now I have to fight my cravings.

Fairly well.
I didn't stick completely to my diet...I had a small piece of coconut cake, and my sister just HAD to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast one morning.
However, I found other ways to stick to it. During the beach cookout, I insisted that I eat one tofu dog along with one regular hot dog. I haven't stepped on the scale yet, though, so we'll see the impact when I get back into the swing of the gym tomorrow (once my sunburn heals enough to not make it an excruciating experience).

I did pretty crappy. I didn't eat all that horribly, but there were a lot of parties this past weekend and much alcohol was consumed, combined with little exercise.
I am hoping for a maintain this week.

I'm in the same boat as you Colleen. Compound it with the fact that I had family staying with me all week and tons of food around and the inability to use the gym in my basement...
I just really hope I didn't gain.

They don't taste the same, but they don't taste bad, either -- once you put a little mustard and relish on them. I really like the soy breakfast sausage, but I couldn't convince my sister to use that in her gravy.
However, several of my family members unknowingly ate tofu dogs, because they were mixed in with the others and didn't look all that different from the regular hot dogs.

Posted: 7/6/06 at 11:36amI did just fine. The key is to eat before you go to these things. Also, bring a dessert you can eat. I brought the Jell-O fat-free, sugar-free White Chocolate pudding, mixed with fat-free Cool Whip, and told everyone it was White Chocolate Mousse. They all raved about it. It was the only dessert to completely go.

I had one bad meal. . . the only problem with that is that I cooked it myself
, so I don't really have anyone to blame.
