Rath, you’re missing one VERY important piece of anatomy that would cause me to seriously check you out.
I lost two inches in the waist, which makes me happy.

Congrats to everyone! It really is a great feeling.
I stepped on the scale this morning to see where I was after eating out twice this weekend (Italian no less) and I was at 192.5 which is a full lb down from my Wednesday weigh in. Only 7.5 to go to get to my original goal! (though I plan to go a bit lower I think).
We had some lay offs at work and today will mark the first day of working for a new manager that I really don't get along with. She is making all of these changes that don't really fit with my style of getting things done either so it's going to be stressful as hell. I have a strong feeling that I'll be hitting the elliptical machine tonight running off some frustration.

I weighed 175 stepping on the scale with shoes on at the gyms today, so I estimate that puts me in the low 170s. That's about where I wanted to be at the end of my diet, so I met my goal. Woo hoo!
Now it's time to step it up a notch. I'm cutting my calories even further and intensifying my workouts. We'll see if I can be below 160 by the time I go to Paris in September.
A bonus -- I'm starting to see that I have actually have ribs for the first time in a LONG time.

Hope you're muddling through just fine there, Patronus!
And sounds like you've made an awesome amount of progress there, Calvin! Just be careful! Muscle weighs too, and if you're adding that to your body, measuring just weight may not reflect the overall changes in your body. And as your metabolism increases, so will your need for calories...

Yay Calvin! I'll be checking out those abs on Saturday.
Another bonus to fitness and weight loss - this heat is not getting to me like it has in past years. At all.

Ok! So! After 2 and a half weeks of vacation life where despite working out during the first week and eating fairly well that first week, I ate kinda badly this past week.
I only gained 3 pounds! And, I can drop that in no time. yea!!!!
That's why I love WW--even when I am being bad, I'm not as bad as I think. :)

Undi, I couldn't agree with you more.
And, every single person who has posted on this thread has dealt with weight loss and exercise issues. Some have been successful for a while. Some have had recent success. Some are in the middle of the process, and some are just starting out.
All encouragement is welcome. And, though I haven't been a participant in this thread, I have read it regularly, and have found the encouragement I need to do the work I have to do.
Thank you to one and all.

Grr...I'm stuck. I've been in the low 170s for about two weeks now. According to one of those body fat calculators in which you plug your weight and height, that puts me at about 20 percent body fat. That's too much! I want to get down to at least 18 percent, which requires me to reach about 150.
I've intensified my workouts even more and am trying to cut down to 1,400 or 1,500 calories a day for a few weeks to see if that helps.

Calvin cheated - he flashed when I wasn't looking and told me later.
Debra better be less subtle.
Tonight my ballet teacher told the whole class that I'm "melting away."

Calvin, good luck! I've been stuck in your boat for months now and I go and exercise my butt off...then old "fat me" mentality kicks in, I pig out, and I'm left right where I was before! I mean, the good news is I'm maintaining and at least my pants still fit...but the bad news is, I can't break through this ceiling right now.
And, Jerby, no thanks are necessary. I was so happy with the results I was seeing back when I started that I was sort of all Howard Dean crazy about it.
I'm glad the craze took off with so many friends. And you look great!

Ha! Ha! I know that feeling well. A few weeks ago, I also had a munchie week. I stepped on the scale (always THE SAME SCALE) and the WW weigh-in-gal-of-the-day said "It looks like you have put on three pounds." I looked at her and said with astonishment, "That's ALL?!? I thought I would have been up four or five!"
If I put on a few, I know I can lose it - lost 31 pounds since January (and only about 4 or 5 to go!!!)
